Free me of my chains;
Free my body, my mind, and my soul so I can feel abundantly free!

Free me of my chains;
So I can be a bird flying high in the sky amidst the clouds, flapping wings, spending my life singing, traveling the world, visiting my childhood girl who had beautiful green eyes, and spreading happiness and harmony around the globe!

Free me of my chains;
So I can go back to my innocent childhood, playing with my friend, laughing so loud, running around to a point where I am all sweaty, watching the miracle of the birth of baby sheep, goats, and cows in my dad's barn, going into nature, picking wild flowers to present them, with an innocent smile, to my cute teacher!

Free me of my chains;
So I can visit my mom in heaven, get her a soft kiss and hug, stare at her beautiful green eyes and her angelic smile, and share with her stories about my lovely family.

Free me of my chains;
So I can spend the rest of my life enjoying the beauty of nature, watching the colorful butterflies, listening to the melodious birds, enjoying the ocean breath, collecting shells, and watching the sunset at the beach.

Free me of my chains;
So I can spend the rest of my days in an isolated place connecting to God, asking Him for forgiveness for my numerous sins, shedding tears for innocent lives, praying for poor people who go to sleep on empty stomachs.

Free me of my chains;
So I can lose myself in serving people, giving hope to the hopeless, lifting the spirit of suffering souls, and giving a helping hand to underprivileged people.

If I stumble, if I fall,
While I’m walking on my journey, searching for a way through my Sorrows and misgivings,
Would you be so kind as to lift me up with tender care?
Would you help to show me the way?

If I find myself caught, running through a raging storm,
Would you shelter me from the wild wind with a sanctuary of hope?
Would you nurture me with kindness until the rain stops falling?

If I decide to sail through my dark thoughts,
To fly through the cold winter’s dim and gloomy sky,
Would you take my hand, and show me the direction to the sunrise?
Would you take me to a place where the melody of the birds fills the air;
To a place with a new dawn, new moon, new hope, and renewed promise?

I want to be immortal; I want to be eternal.
After I’ve taken my last breath, I want my deeds to live on.
I want to live on through the smiles I’ve shared.
I want my legacy to live on through my words.
I want to be long remembered by my loved ones.

I want to be immortal; I want to be eternal.
I want the words of my poetry to echo throughout time.
I want them to be engraved in the stars and scattered throughout the night sky.

I want to be immortal; I want to be eternal
All of my life I strive to contemplate kind thoughts and execute my actions with kindness.
I believe that good deeds and benevolence are the bridge that will lead my soul to heaven, where I can reside eternally.
I want to be able to look down from above and witness my legacy live on with me forever.
I want to be proud of the heritage I leave behind, the lives I touch.

I want to be immortal; I want to be eternal.
When I am ready to depart, I want my body to be buried deep inside mother nature's heart, next to my beloved mom, in the middle of the mountain. My fragile body will celebrate life by nurturing the beautiful trees in the cemetery.
Then I will be able to rest in peace knowing that nature and I
are one, and I that I’ve finally become a part of creation's beauty for all eternity!

As I had reached the immigration counter at the airport, the Immigration Officer began to recite his script of questions.
He began with, “What is your occupation?”
I replied “I am a proud healthcare professional who provides services to My customers with a pinch of love, a sense of morality, and a wide, whole Hearted smile”.

He then followed with, “Show me your ID".
I answered him with a soft voice, and replied respectfully,
“Sir, my identity can be found in the smiling and happy faces of all of the People around the world, it can be found in the hearts of the pure, and in The minds of the creative and kind souls.

The officer had a reserved look on his face and displayed a look of Hesitation. This made me feel that he was starting to listen to my Message.
He replied in a stern voice, “Where are you from?”
I answered with a smile,
"I come from this same beautiful earth.
I’ve grown up dreaming of reaching the moon just as you have, and when I’m truly touched, you can see the twinkling stars in my eyes.
I too have experienced the raging winds,
I’ve danced to the rhythm of the waves of the ocean, I’ve shared in singing The melody of the birds.
Sir, I am from the same sacrificing mother, I come from the same land, the Land of the free and the home of the brave".

The officer tried to contain his amusement, as he continued his recitation.
“What type of religion do you follow?”
I swiftly responded, “I follow the universal religion of kindness that believes that all people are created equal.
My religion believes in judging people based on their inner beauty, their true kindness, their generosity, and their ability to be compassionate."

With a big smile and a twinkle in his eyes, the officer responded, “Well sir, what have you packed in your luggage?”
"In this luggage, I have all of my great dreams, my endless yearning, my longing, my childhood memories, my experiences, and a whole lot of love, hope, and inspiration.
I also have some seeds that I plan to plant to develop positive change in this world."

I saw a tear roll down the officer’s cheek. Then he told me, with a voice full of emotion, “Brother, I hope you have a safe trip. Please take care of yourself, and continue on with your journey."
