Usually I lie
Whenever I say I'm fine
Except not right now
Hmm.
Surprisingly.
I feel okay
Of course, I know it's not going to last,
but I'll enjoy it while I can.
I can breathe.

I recognize that this haiku ***** but I felt the need to express the fact that I'm okay because it doesn't happen very often and I figured I should actually put it in a poem format instead of a short rant

I
I need you,*
but you needed to leave me
I had you,
but you never had me
I love you,
but did you ever love me?
I saw you,
tears, sadness, pain
laughter, happiness, gain
but did you notice?
I noticed you,
and your green eyes
opened wide,
susceptible.
I miss you,
but you don't miss me,
you have a friend of mine
that used to mean the world to me
now you're both gone
and I'm lonely
and alone, I suppose.
Soul torn open,
words dripping out,
eyes closed tightly,
tears slipping now.

Beyond the trees you see,
I see the monsters

Beyond the trees you see,
I see the darkness

Beyond the trees you see,
I see the birds

Beyond the trees you see,
I hear the music

Give someone a compliment today, post it, say it to someone in real life, but compliment someone today! :) if you do post one, tag it as ##complimentday.

Compliments to Ryn, you're concrete poems are amazing! Honestly, they are so well structured, and the poem itself is beautiful alongside the splendid shape that goes along with it. ^^
oh and its also national beer can day and also peanut butter day, but compliments r good, no? :3 PEANT BUTTER!! :D

Okay, you two. I want you to say sorry.
Now that she has said sorry, you have to say: That's okay.
There. Now it's all better.

**here is the problem with that, from a very young age, children are taught to simply SAY sorry, and not actually find remorse in themselves, they just say it whether they mean it or not, and they think there is no difference. The other problem: Even if you ARE sorry, not all things you do can be undone. Not everything IS "okay" now that you are sorry. Some things are unforgivable. It can't always be "all better".
just something from my childhood that my parents always had us say when there was a fight
