Drip, drop Moss on the rocks Overcast sky The canopy blocks Fall, flow Down the great stream Carrying all To where we do dream Dream, sleep In waters still That in your mind You find your fill
Dream away Where they might be Swaying fern And date palm tree There where is The sun I know Golden, purple And then below The blue green waters Clear and deep A rising moon To bid still sleep
I’ve seen the heavens below In the waters calm and cool The stars and planets I know Reflected in springtime pools But strange it would seem On a cloudy night That the stars would mirror Their lack of light A breeze blew gently As I sat on that shore Thinking to myself That there must be more So to test my theory I waded into the stars I walked past Venus And in my hand held Mars How strange is was Perhaps is was late But it felt in my hands Like the stars had weight As I leaned back I began to float Held by the stars Like a celestial boat There I did sleep A great time and yet still For to wake is to dream And what’s dreamed is what’s real
Darkness grows ever so slowly So that none may notice The light fade from their eyes In that total darkness Will many rejoice Saying they hated the light And the judgment it brought In those times will they come Those beings of old That walked the ancient earth Before it washed away And in darkness they will reign Until the light returns
I dream of Ilmyuin Steeped in grandeur On the far northern heights Great white towers Amid the mountain peaks Oh how I wish I could have seen them One last time Glimmering in the moonlight Before those beings came Down from their icy stars And walked the world over Longing for their distant home To which they could never return
Humanity sleeps But where I don’t know The suns grown dim So far from home I wander the wastes In hopes to find Where we slumber And unconscious reside Few waking remain And evermore sleep Down in the womb That form they might keep Yet wander I will Alone if need be For I am one in name But in spirit made three
