Hadrian Veska Aug 2018
Yirin O'Yule
On the back of his mule
Rode to the cliff-side city
But naught did he know
That where he did go
Had long since slid to the sea
With the family he'd not again see
Hadrian Veska Jul 2018
The skies a seventh
Of the waters below
Greater seas in heaven
Yet to be known
Vast oceans buried
Beneath red sand
Long aeons ago
Our promised Land
Hadrian Veska Jul 2018
I know you're short
But I love you so
From your long black hair
To your feet below
And it'll be ok
If you never grow

Because the size of your heart
Makes up
For your height

And when you're near
My soul
Takes flight

When it's all wrong
You make
It alright

So won't you stay
With me
Tonight
Hadrian Veska Jul 2018
Flower; petals
Bloom and fall
Let me see
I know naught at all
Let the world
Wash away
The waters flow
To distant bays
The sun burn bright
And fade away
The sky then dim
To black from grey
And let me rest
My soul to stay
The night to come
At end of day
Hadrian Veska Jul 2018
The tide rises and turns
Receeds to the sea
Exposing bare rock
And the roots of the trees
And in distant days
Will it drain ever bear
Exposing lost things
Thought not to be there
Hadrian Veska Jul 2018
Tau
Let the waters flow
Rolling downward
To where they go

Let the sunshine glow
To gild the Meadows
Once in snow

Let the wind sing
Sweet whisperings
At the dawn of Spring

And let my soul rest
For in all I know
I know I'm blessed
Hadrian Veska Jul 2018
Crack and smolder
Smoke and great pain
The fire recedes
In the springtime rain
And though vast oceans
Of green are gone
They'll rise more vibrant
Again before long
