Methanol*

I was a bandage
which you ripped off
as soon as your wounds
were healed,
because I was loyal
and what a mistake that was
because I can't be anything else,
except what lies on
the opposite end of the spectrum;
completely detached and indifferent.

Maddening methanol,
blinding me with your impurity,
but now I see
what a fraud you were.

"Losing" you didn't injure me,
your absence didn't sink
its teeth into me;
you were sour as
sudden abandonment,
I was more than glad
to be rid of *you.

You said that she's beautiful like a garden.
Filled with glowing beauty;
drenched in the warmth of sunshine.
But little did you know,
this beautiful garden has grown wildflowers.
They are in every corner, even on the path.
And the time you noticed these unwanted flowers,
you stepped on every blossom and left the garden.

and will leave you with tears and just go?
Why is it so easy for some to fling,
and later ignore your feeling?
Why is it so easy for some to tell a lie,
and then leave you with a question 'why'?
Why is it easy for some to call you special,
when you are treated just like normal?
Why is it easy for some to say they love you,
but they don't show that they do?
Why is it easy for some to surrender,
when they've promised to love you forever?

She was undeniably warm.
The spirit in her is as balmy as summer.
A soul brimful of hopes and desires.
Until a sudden day came,
when everything feels bleak and inexplicable.
Fear created a room in her.
The tangled mind she has is devouring her spirit
and she started losing spark.
Things are slowly becoming halfhearted in her eyes;
even prayer becomes a tough battle.
Her mornings are frigid.
Her smile turned into misery.
The cold vibe she's facing,
made a winter in her heart.

It's a great wonder how our eyes have met.
******* with my thing and various people were around,
I was still caught by your presence.
You are the story I've never knew I'd read.
From the day my eyes have met yours,
I was totally distracted—
distracted by your eyes filled with emotions.
The silence between us have brought words;
Feelings became mutual.
Strange feelings painted hearts;
It brought deep hope and started creating fire.
Fate's on our side,
and time drew us closer.
We were strangers who found a home in each other's heart.

Who would have thought
your smile would create butterflies in her stomach,
your words would become music to her ears,
the look in your eyes would be her cravings?
And who would have thought
she has this kind feelings for you?
The smiles she get from you,
the prayers she has said,
the silent act of care she tried to give,
and the love she would like to show,
are the things you will never know..
For some things are better kept hidden.

Ma Cherie
To search the winter lean and long,
for early signs of coming spring,
on snow sprayed fields now all aglow,
  on every little whispered wing,

Tis hardest in this icy air,
alone with frozen thought,
to seek the thaw you asked of me,
when love was freely taught,

In buds of red I wish to hold,
and not my stubborn,
warming glow,
your spring awaits with daffodil,
beneath the wet and melted snow,

I await you dear with frozen breath
eternally I wait for thee
tis I that seek your stubborn glow
your warmth is what will set me free

I take your mind
to yesteryear
when spring came easy then
to take us back to times we know
to love your way
back home again

In simple terms a simple love
I beckon from my frozen hill
to bring you back here in the spring
and not
against your needed will

I wait for you
I wait for thee
*my Sunny Springtime Daffodil
Hi poets! This is a wonderful opportunity at a collaboration with someone who I respect greatly wonderful poet friend David Hewitt! ❤ I asked and he started,
this is about many things- the willingness to change, the acceptance of waiting, and what it might bring come spring, waiting for love and longing and light, and being patient in the wait...rebirth & a new hopeful sunny year. This poem is everything.. it's hard to explain it made me cry literally. I guess I contacted David for a very good reason! Part of it is this place and the beauty from wherever he comes from and I really truly appreciate David allowing me to have almost creative license with it finishing even though he heard it from the inception. Anyway I hope you are all blessed with beautiful things coming this time in Spring and it brings you close back to home again. I hope you have a wonderful year my poet friends. And I hope you love it as much as we do - many many thanks! ❤❤❤ Cherie and David!

The hunter runs after his prey, and then
It leaps forth into the stary night, which
Swallows it up to be part of it when
The hunter finds their chase to be unhitched
Around the entire globe, we find
That we all have some commonalities
We all have something in the human mind
That reflects our common realities
We chased our prey, only to find that it
Had taken off for the celestial
With our knack for storytelling and wit
We had made star pictures and festivals
It oddly speaks to our human nature
That our stories can become much greater
