Ego
Feed on your ego, gorge on your pride
till you swell all up inside
You'll be like an over filled balloon
But very very soon.........

Someone will take the sharp tip of truth, pop the bubble you live in
Because all your bolstering and self praise is a very deadly sin

Come To Me

I watched you come
Come to me
Knowing you would leave
Still I loved you
I love you still
I watched you come
Come to me
Saturated bed sheets
And my hands
Like you never felt before
I saw truth in yours eyes when you spoke my name
I felt truth
I knew the end
I watched you come
Come to me
Great ocean spread wide
You know you touched me
I feel it now

i wish

Torin
I wish I had six fingers
I wish I had three hands
I wish I had two heads
One that had a beard
Just so my physical appearance would show
What kind of freak I am
I wish I didn't have a soul
So I could be unaffected by the world we know
And
Its sickness

Commuter Poet
Roots grow
beneath walls
Intertwining
As if
Holding hands

The barriers we build
Separate us from each other

Yet, roots pass under, fearlessly
Birds fly over naturally

For you and I
Some doors seem impenetrable
Forever closed

My roots
Pass beneath your walls

And your soul flies like a bird
Above my barriers

When we die
There is no more separation

We will be one
We are one
13th June 2016
We can not thrive
divided
but must stand together
a nation united
Not Pagans
Not Christians
Not Jews
Not Muslims

Americans

Not Arabs
Not Persians
Not whites
Not blacks
Not Latinos
Not Indians
Not Asians

Americans

Stand together my brothers
Stand for freedom my sister's
Stand for love
Stand for light

Brighten the night
And realize
We are one
We are all

We are life

We are America.
