Whitest of white against the darkest of black
Tossed around in the biggest of waves; I'm but a tiny speck

Prominent like the moon out on a sunlit sky
Attempting to live again after every night I die

Time slips by... The days have come and then gone
Drawing the curtains of dusk; to unveil the arrival of dawn

To everything else we should be indifferent because for each other we truly care
At opposites we stand for I am here while you are there...

~
*Because when I do,
I always end up with thoughts of you
Because when I do,
I always end up writing about you

And you see,
My words will be tinted with you
You will see a hint of you in every story
Every stanza will be inspired by you

You see,
I'll end up writing about you
That's why I don't want to write anymore
I'll just end up missing you
I'll just end up thinking what we could have been

I don't want to write anymore,
Each line is heartbreaking
Every word is killing me
Because it was all for you

I don't want to write anymore,
I just miss you so bad
That it hurts so much

I don't want to write anymore,
Surely  everything I will write
Will be all for you
And it will mean I can't move on
~

Remembering how to forget you.

Colour Blind

I don't see the colour of your skin.

I see
the colour of your heart.

Is it dark and putrid or
is it the color of a soft and lilting tune?
Is it filled with warm tones,
or cold?
Hues of ice and snow,
or gold?

Do you give or take?
Do you love or hate?

I don't see race or faith,
I just see you-
your energy, your words, your actions.

I see you; I just simply
see you.
The news is getting to me. Let's all just love and be loved.
Every one of us deserves love and kindness. Every single one of us.
