a woman
The projector is a woman
A human
A dreamer
Made out of jumper cables and breadcrumbs
Your thumbnails are tumbling
Head over heels to meet her
We see the sharpened glass
And as fast as we can cash out
We make a run for the patio
A ladder up the stairs
With hatred in our hands
And nothing left in our hearts to sell
We are accompanied by monkeys
And men in tuxedos
A loose cannon blooms
And shoots through the wall
A canopy collides
With a visually challenged individual
How are you so full of persuasion, she asks
A mix of liberation and a margarita
I am dreaming of the ocean
A perfect place to lie in the sun and dry off my shoulders
With common purpose
We surf the sound of metaphors crashing
In flashes of crayons
And wet paint sprayed haphazardly
We explain our philosophy to the gravediggers
We keep waking them
Until our hourglasses need fixing
We are shifting in our sandals
And refolding our blankets every hour
The old magic is tangled in your hair
And I just can't stop staring at you
Are you really even here
I hope you don’t mind
That the winter is alive with the sound of nature
We are naturally blinded by infrared romantics
Yet bound to find our souls in the middle
Our blood is equipped with spit and spirit
And it fits right into our heart
We are shifting stratospheres
For there was a lonely place here
Even before the earth appeared, forever naked
We are infiltrating the epicenter of the universe
A purposeless poem
Lost in the wind
Folded to begin with
Now we are unfolding
Opening
Unraveling, traveling
Our trembling fingers tenderly touch
Yet we must not rush
Or we're likely to make a mistake
We're better off avoiding

Flirting with the birds
your eyelids
fly in tragic circles
under black skies
your mountains crumble
putrid apples and hillbillies all return
from chaos came compassion
from darkness came the word
kindness gave birth to sorrow
and silence was never earned
your antithesis presents itself
in every situation, myth is ever heard
speaking to the elves
in their own language
and flirting with the birds
yes i long for nonsense
i long for romance too
i long for our companions
to put you in the mood
stolen gardenias leave a trail of scents
your eyes tore across the pavement
and left tracks upon my arm
could i have ever won your heart
indescribable unseen voices
signal the rising sun
surrender to the one
and give all of yourself
in service
kiss the ancient ones feet
lick the sweat from the streets
greet yourself in the other
i shudder in suspense
i grow weary awaiting thy countenance
i count the days, hours, weeks and months
until i see thy lotus feet
We are still figuring out how to breathe,
In a world, where the air is filled,
Mostly with concrete.

and we become vulnerable
do not seek the message of saints

for circumstances do not determine our future
in kisses and hunger
our bodies must uncover
the lightning and the fire
that was hidden deep inside
like ulcers and lovers
if one towers above the other
we lose our vision and our courage
purging from our souls
we resist the kiss of tyrants
yet drink from the cups of aristocratic anarchists
as you watch tournaments turn into battles
you wonder what season is it anyway
and i begin to realize
how long i've owed you an apology

loose lips
it was late September when i let you in
i remember the audacity of your mouth
what a feeling when it lingered around my lips
and stayed their way too long
i could not keep your secrets
and so you cast me out
loose people are threats to humanity you said
loose lips sink ships
but your loose lips opened
into a cavern of mysteries
so vast that the sky was jealous
of your beauty
and the indolence you prided yourself on
what a mystery
the starry eyed dreamers slept
and wept for their ancestors
who were calling out to them
but they couldn’t hear them from consciousness' bed
i am listening to your trembling body
and thinking that your salt is my sanity
and without electrolytes
i’d die of thirst inside your watery mouth
ugh this pounding is so **** repetitive
i can’t remember the last time we were so negative
separated by our sins
freedom is spinning round
like a child turning towards the heavens
beauty, sweat and love
forever making fools of us
what a nemesis love makes of us
what neanderthals we are
what they were is what we’ve become
for what is love anyway
but madness
dedicated to its own ruin
the self that desires its own undoing
is intoxicated by a substance
more inebriating than wine, beer, or ***
it is lust that lights the fire of our desire
in sweaty nights of passion
we’ve become raunchy with musical fever
sweet icicles pierce these hearts
deep love dives deeper
deep words we seek
each growing more distant
the nearer that we come

come relax your mind
and unwind for an hour or two

come learn the secrets of the unopened book
a hook and a crook
a fluke and a whale
a chosen son
who could never be followed
i seek the exit
but what about the present
forget the unexpected
and elect the resurrected
set backs are an opening
a minor compliance
just follow the signs
to your own self reliance
gone are the blossoms
who spread all their seeds
here are the thirsty ones
for the light that you feed

while your love resounds in me

oh spirit guide me
and make me a being of truth

tossing and turning in fields of rye
all that matters is
dedication to the goal
burn your bank accounts
i dance to the music of the blind
for my father
held together despite the waves
so old and forlorn
it is his breath
that breathes
the forests back to life
gears turn
suspend judgement
and long words
throughout the day
show the world who you are
yet crying is the medicine
we need in order to become whole

Overhead lightning
the bottoms of the stars are roofs
roots, candles, ceilings
sit upon the earth
blankets covering the dirt
trees: treat them like family
your cheeks i kiss them
my tongue lingers in ecstasy
(teeth bite flesh rip skin)

songs caress your neck
sweat, oh sweat, holy sweat, tender sweat
the scent of holy basil
pouring from her highness
drops of sweat, beads of sweat
sweeten my tongue with vengeance
like a fire i long for water
fresh and salty, a million times
you come back for more

you had my heart and tore it
out; dragged it across
the stars, down the stairs, through
the maddening streets, into
the graveyards, forgotten at your feet
never plundering, oh please
your peaceful gardens: haha
i laugh at these; your best is the worst
i could've ever asked for

may your formless curves continue
to sail smoothly upon waters and seas
calm and rough, choppy and chocolate
river dolphins immediately come ashore
and talk and walk among us, as they did
before, a long time ago, prior to the fall
when we were, supposedly, all in this together

We are dried like Petals
And these sacred idols
Were once able to bleed
But I believe
They can no longer
Be bothered to, you see
We are too scared to scratch
Each other’s wounds
In fear that these may bleed too
Absorbed in the road
We were fed up with the cold
So we sold the borders
That held us too close
Yet far enough apart for comfort
You started acting like a child
Wild in the saddle
I let you ride me
All the way back home

i am wild and governed by time
lines on your face smile at me naively
lift up your skirt and i will make haste
fasting in the morning
our lives are intertwined
like the handle of your brush and the seat of your chair
what's awakened in your heart these days
will you show me
the light you’ve hidden
winter is coming
i am your friend
give me the reason to expect your blessings
i interpret the existence of our dreams
sediments are not what they seem
sweet dreams my love
if we are held in
forests
forever breaking free
tender threads of comfort
will be happening
her eyes
are joined to the fireplace
strands of hair grip the night’s sky
linger for a second and are once again free
paper trails make haste as dancers move in place
our love is the frame we make
the cochlea is awakened
by the sounds of our breathing
if we suspend our hearts
will we break them
if we are undertakers
will we awaken in their arms
gardens abound of the sounds we savor
the flavors of yesterday still lingers
between us i have an armful of flowers
and the landscape is so captivating
even as our world capsizes into nothing

We must drink this tedium together
And make real words from our seances
We tied ropes around our souls
Solely to shake up our abandonment issues
We have confused virtue and servitude
Confused by loose lips and loose cannons
And the bad breath of certain movie stars
We all share these vulnerable parts
That are as loyal and broken as our heart

By the water's edge
Again we sit. And listen to the soft susurrations of spirit. The abnegations of our decisions. These ablutions are always watered down. And we swim in our safety nets till we are plunged into the darkness. The unsuspecting silence is a moment that we invited. I am delighted to let go of my mind. I find nothing worth holding onto. It slips out like a poem. I birth universes from nothing, so cuddle me in your warm arms. Love is frightening. So we shake our shadows and rustle the tree tops. Long live our strategies. Don't you dare try to follow me. Let's choose not to believe in gravity. For the way up is less scary. I see your fingers tracing shadows on the wall. I wish they’d linger on my body. I’d love to tell you that I didn’t care but you'd immediately know that nothing could be further from the truth.

Laughing is sublime only as often as you can bear to really die

We are embracing magic in our uncertainty and living
Amidst and between, boundaries of ancient diseases and new discoveries
The pathway of apologies is not a road you can navigate intuitively
