Jesus didn't say the meek would conquer the Earth
Nor did he say they'd taunt for self worth
He didn't say blessed are the conquerors
Nor did he ask I trade my bomb for yours
Whatever he did say
We didn't listen
This death machine stays
And we are its pistons

eileen
crashing into a wave of sadness
I can't breathe

feels so ugly
to be lonely

no one waiting for you at home
no one to call for good news

eating alone
walking alone

everyone's faces
disappear into the weary clouds

all my wishes come true
why am I not happy
why am I not satisfied

Your smile was the sun
But it didn’t last for very long
You were bored
So death came knocking at your back door
You cherished me
Yet I couldn’t see
That through the rain
You were in pain
Your heart was so pure
I was so sure
We were just friends
But in the end
I loved you so much
Sadly it was to late for such

I have fallen out of love with writing poetry

I feel as though writing poetry feels like writing a laundry list of things to do

So I took a break

and my love returned

Remember to take a break every now and then :)

Hey, it's my shadow!
on the shade of a rock
Facing back at me there
refusing to talk

I often wish things were different
as if a wish does anything but make me dream
I used to have dreams
but now I live in one
The fog fills my world everyday
I’m on autopilot.
