I remember clearly the day we met
Which makes it seem like only yesterday
Memories cherished, memories kept
And a promise to forever, never give them away

A timeless legacy of family and faith
Between you and me to help carry it on
Adding doses of love along the way
Knowing full well we'll never go it alone

I promise you with this lasting truth
Whatever you and I are going through
I'll hold on tight and never let loose
Being more than ready to grow old with you

It's not hard to find we're still young in mind
With brittle bones that hold tender souls
We moan and we groan like we've been in a fight
And still not yet ready to give up the ghost

It hasn't been perfect, but we have been blessed
In all of the crazy that life's thrown at us
Still standing strong, last time we checked
Attributed to the power of love

I promise you with this lasting truth
Whatever you and I are going through
I'll hold on tight and never let loose
Being more than ready to grow old with you
born in the artic snow
she chromed
her heart
in steel

flames could
not
touch that heart

always a half a step ahead
sure
a few stumbles
but never a fall

and moonlight is just
a heartache in disquise

till one day
leaning out a car window
a scar upon his cheek
and the luck of the draw

was the jack of hearts

and the queen of diamonds
had
never met
anyone
quite like

the jack

of hearts,

black-haired blue-eyed
her beauty inspired
stupid men
to commit foolish acts

and as he smiled
the queen of diamonds
thought she had

the jack of hearts,

blue sky shimmering
in her eyes

jack became
the brightness
of her day

and the jack of hearts
saw a flame
flickering in her eyes
that he had never seen
in any women's eyes
before ...

               act. 2

... a strange destiny
was unraveling
and one long poker hand
was over
and the snowflakes came
down like ashes
under the street light

and then
the jack of hearts
walked away

a pale spirit fleeing
a graveyard
into the wall of night

and the queen of diamonds
cried

the sea into sky

with eyes
like twilight
waiting

to eat away the day
she says,
what man is
not full of
**** man

she
uses the word
man
a lot

it used to be the thing
when she was young
and full of
that thing
they call gullible.

Sun baked
skin caked
with the salt
from
oceans of tears
she
wonders where
the years
have gone

and says
**** man.
There is so much more
That I want to see
All around the world
And in between

Tastes, sights
And places afar
Where ever friendly faces
And opening arms

So much more
To be consumed
This planet we're on
Is a fruitful womb

A meal a beer
A sample of the yield
Blackberry, blueberry
Strawberry fields

St. Ambrose Bees
Sweet honey mead
I want to sample
Every good thing I see!

How long will you look away
and pretend it doesn’t matter?
See our world in decay,
all our children getting fatter.
Pesticides, herbicides, aluminum in our rain!
PSAF’s in our blood cells, plastics in our brains.

Corporations chasing profits as the empire gasp for power.
The time is now to rise and fight and stop being a bunch of cowards!
Traveler Tim
I had
all the wealth
And I had
all the fame
I had all
the glamour
One life
could contain

I had
all the friends
And I had
all the foes
That now sit
as equals
On the end
of my nose

I had
all these things
But one message
rings true
To have
and to hold
Is but folly
— adieu

(Rhymes From The Nursery: May, 2025)
What demands our attention today?
A war devoid of consequences,
Or a history shaped by creationism?
A stillbirth born without shame?
Vivid pain and haunting memories linger.
A wedding absent of both bride and groom—
Did we call for the ceremony too soon?

The Gen Z lifestyle is riddled with artificial deceptions.
An unforgettable presidential race stands as a historical disgrace.
Did the pope truly have a closed casket,
Or was it merely a non-cadaver?

Platforms like Facebook are swarming with scammers—
More than we've ever witnessed before.
Referrals are obsolete;
Being broke has become a norm,
Your wallet may as well be smoking.
Buy one, get one free—Temu’s prices tempt us all.
This is the reality of U.S.-China trade tariffs.

Are our lives dictated by the Bollywood Referrals Act?
Isn’t that the truth?
Comsi comsa.
An abundance of life
In a cycle of death
How much living
Could we have left?

An abundance of stars
Displayed in the sky
Endless pleasures
On a summer's night
Hear and see
Touch and feel
The reality of existence
Consume at will

An abundance of love
To plant in our graves
Pushing up daisies
I wish we could stay

Hook him up to the machine.
Shock his brain into
mediocrity.
Death stalks him;
he is aware.
There is too much
flash in his eyes.
His brain needs a reboot;
he needs to forget,
like a goldfish, like
a monkey in the zoo.
Hook him up to the machine.
He is too sentimental.
Salmon swim in his blood;
he has a paisley heart,
and a tie-dye soul.
He can smell colors.
Hook him up to the machine.
He has Van Gogh eyes, and
a Bukowski gut; he walks
like he's lost in a maze;
hunchback sadness,
butcher knife nerves,
Hook him up to the machine.
He believes in love,
and has too much trust.
His vivid green memory
is a curse, we need to
crash it, **** the eternal spring.
Hook him up to
the machine.
