Waving sails in red and white
catch the breeze and early light,
shiny rich men's toys of the ocean
dance in lazy undular motion

while the space between lines was so immense
When you've had that holiday when you needed a holiday to get over the tiredness that you needed a holiday for only to find that you need a holiday to get over the one you've just had.

sad?
I'm flamin' crying
back to work and trying
to look happy
and feeling grumpy
yeah old joke
Doc' says I'll get over it
or go under with it.

Keep on taking the tablets
and give Moses a break.
I have seen a lot of places
though I’ve never
seen the snow
I drift beneath the
wisdom of a thousand
year old poem
you are just a stranger
though I know where
you’ve been
I’ve seen it in your sad eyes
I feel it on your skin
there is an echo in
the darkness there’s
a stillness in the air
I heard it in a whisper
that you still care
there is beauty in the
tragedy of this
broken world there’s a
subtle hint of indigo
in the smoke as it curls
there is a space between
you and I there’s a
shadow on the sun
reflecting on the water my
work here is almost done
now I’m left to face a new
day like a coward in the cold
I’ll wait beneath your breath
with the memories that I hold
now the taste of the wine
stays here for a while
as the candle light
burns on through the night
lavender perfume reminds
me of you … of you.

why
do i see
my face
in the

mirror

why do i
see my breath
superimposed
upon the
cold night
sky

i died
long ago

drown in
your ocean
no deeper
than a

pane

of

glass
