Waiting in Hope
The ability to not in faith waver
Is grace uncommon--to not cave in
Like Abraham to Sarah's honeyed voice,
When tarrying seemed the promise--
To the pressure around, but to linger
The more in hope still, daily waiting
For God's time, like Joseph, when other people,
As the butler chief, are trotting in life and career.
Man, for what man truly is, can buckle
Down and be seeking for "better" option rather
Than be languishing, holding unto the Almighty,
Who is nevertheless the Helper of man and destiny.

Abrupt Departure
In my hand held i to a homing dove,
The very one in truth i did love.
With me tarried she in hope but away
Flew at last, making my blue sky grey.

I took my heart hence to her face
And asked it to intreat for her grace.
Though it did; but it was dry
In her ears, causing me to cry.

what shall become of my life's wow
Since love can't keep it in tow now?
What reason more do i have to live,
When my lady's love has taken its leave?
O gracious beauty,
Which taketh
Breath
Away;
Liquidate me
Nay.

Fear Unbroken
Pierce not my skin,
Thou lancet of horror,
Which is terribly akin
To the blade of terror;

Touch nay me at all,
You dark being;
Mind, be not on call
At the bay of loony bin;

Mortality's debt is
Paid by death's acquisiton--
It's the end of business,
The final liquidation;

The assets of sanctity
Offset and save as well
Many a toxic liability
Of the soul from hell;

Weak, weary and bored
By unbroken quietus fear.
Life is unassured
By a doctor's gear.

Foam inside the tumbler of religion
And humanities, arts, science and tech.

God Is No Killjoy
God is no God that seeth only in
The day but gropeth about at night
God is no God that giveth goats
But collecteth comely cows as tithe

God is no God that is unwise
A sort of sucker, stooge and *****
God is no God that knoweth not wrong
From rigth regardless of what's done

God is no God that simply scorneth
And scoffeth at a sinful fall
God is no God that despiseth
A croaky voice or a hollering call

God is no God that doth not help
That succoureth nay in sorrow
God is no God that doth not care
That expresseth no empathy over a woe

God is no God that's carried up and
Down like Dagon, like a dumb toy
God is no God that taketh away
Manhood to become a killjoy
Like machinery with use,
Life by time depreciates
Towards eternity.

Mirror of Memory
Smelling sapphire, looking mahogany:
The nymph's grunts cast demons of
Frigid feelings out of my body --
Possessed by her legions of love.

But the images of her left with me --
Of her warm self and sweet essence,
Are now in the mirror of my memory,
Reflecting like shadows in the waters.

Across the Big Ball
What ails the face
of the sun,
that its smiley countenance
doth suddenly change?
Why should it run
away which slays darkness' rage?

Clouds of sadness stroll
across the surface of the big ball:
dull substance of despondent sigh.

Unshealth at once
the ray of thy glittering sword, spare
nay thine eternal skill.
Contend and combat:
fight with zest and zeal

For weak and tired and weary,
at night,
shalt thou eventually be;
when with faded
you bid the day, goodbye.

Mom's Bulging Belly
I have been wandering how mommy
Sweet did come by such a tommy
Big, enquired the pretty darling
Of her dear dad. It's the Lord's doing.
A boon so marvellous to behold, that's true
And priceless. I can't take thee now thru'
The episode whole. But it did wilfully happen
Tween me and her, said more the pop, when
We blithely together laid for a marital affair,
Cheek and jowl, that we might perfectly pair
And have in unison our amorous-laced passion,
Melting them into one inseparable fermented fusion.
From that act of affection came her womb large,
From which a life precious like thou will emerge--
God willing--soon; after nine-seemingly-slow months of
Steady evolvement and care, it will be time enough
To bring forth. It might be twins or more, or a boy
Or a girl only; but when a scan is employ-
Ed, you can confirm the very gender and number prior
To the hour of parturition of that gift of honour.
Thou wilt be wise, pray i, my peering daughter,
As thou by age by and by dost begin to muster
In life empirical knowledge and understanding
To unravel the mystery behind a protruding
Belly of a woman firsthand thyself. In school
And everywhere prithee, my child, be nobody's fool.

Jesus, My Assurred Staff
He may decide not to deliver
Me from the lions' den nor
From this fire nor that dagger;
Still will Christ be my Savior.

Though thru the valley and pitfall
Of terror and death walk I in life;
Yet I shall no evil fear at all
Cause Jesus is my assured Staff.
Your marriage is going to fill a large
part of your life, and the only way to truly
Be satisfied is to marry who you believe is
A great partner. And the only way to have
A good home is to love your spouse.

If you haven't found that soul yet; keep
Looking. Don't settle. As with all matters
Of the heart, you will know when you find
Them. And like any great relationship, it just
Gets better and better as the years roll on.

When taxied is my earthly flight?

Save if i was by choice heaven-free
And had yielded to the Devil's ploy.

Steel Heart: Ruth
"Intreat me not to leave thee,
or to return from following
after thee: for wither thou goest,
i will go; and where thou lodgest,
i will lodge: thy people shall be
my people, and thy God my God.

Where thou diest, will i die,
and there will i be buried:
the Lord do so to me, and more
also, if ought but death part thee
       and me."
Ruth 1:16-17 (KJV)

Lips invariable like weather,
turning aside as an unfaithful arrow
aimed at a panther,

Vows unfulfilled, promises unkept:

Love inconstant ends in sorrow,
making the heart bent like a bow.

At times I am verily weary to the bone,
Confining my soul in a self-made cocoon
By shutting out the world from my heart
As my mind meanders speedily tween
The hills of despair thru' rueful spleen--
There was a country ere things fell apart.

Pining for the wonder wand of Bro. Jero,
Our hopes have turned to zero--
Hit by the arrow of God--ha, penkelemesi!
Who can now this nation's nemesis remedy?

caught by misfortune or curse

Beauty
Is it not that which the eyes
And mind together devise,
The chaff which the brain
Of man accepts as the grain?

For there is no universal balance
For measuring character and countenance:
Gay countries horn down the non-gay
That have opposed such a broad way.
The US and the EU have both threatened to cut down on aids giving to countries that have signed into law anti-gay bill, especially to Uganda and Nigeria.

The latter--but for ineptitude, corruption and want of wisdom--does not, and never should need, any aids to live in luxury, with the blessed billions of dollars swaggering into the country's coffers, but divert their moves to some very few folk's secret Swiss accounts, whilst leaving millions of others in wicked wretchedness. More's the pity!!

Sleep is as Death
Whilst in bed, thou knowest not at
All what about thee is transacting more
In life, for thou altogether therein art
Oblivious even to thine own existence core.

And all thy earthly goods thou wilt
Never remember--not even a pin in your
Possessions--as you shut eye on thy quilt
Or on thy sack, dreaming with a snore.

Thy soul, in sleep, is at ease from angst--
Worrying nay itself over the Dow Jones swinging.
Thou art in a subconscious mode and canst
Tell nought of what in the world's happening.

Save for stertorous breathing--the
Sign of life, sleep is simply as death!
And in both man is hapless verily,
Whether he lieth in bed or in a casket.

One thing that makes me truckle
At times, for which i can't chuckle,
Is that at death all what we ably
Know or seem to know will verily
To nought come. Our good counsel again
Shall not be sought for in any bargain,
Neither will people request more for
Our input in this or that endeavour;--

Though some do believe in clairvoyance,
Getting the direction of life thru sèance;
Yet for the Christian such is no option
To be considered in any dark situation;
Saul the king though went to consult
With Samuel in Endor, but a result
Bad he had; for what God hath purposed
Cannot be by a band of devils crossed!--

Save a head ere his demise a book
Had written or cast like a fish hook
His imaginations in the river of a canvass
Or recorded an album or taught a class;
Else all his lulu endowments shall no
Profit be, when he at last lies below
The surface of the earth. To die a manqué,
For the world and him, is a tragedy.
