When the freedom bird sings
We will stand tall
When the freedom bird asks
We will answer the call
One voice
One people
One nation
No white brown of black
But brothers joined in blood
Shed on so many brutal fields
Blood of many nations
Blood shed for liberties flag
You speak not my language brother
But you bled and died for me
You saw me not as white
I saw you not as black
But as my brother in arms
Countryman of mine who answered the call
Who on this foreign land did fall
I held you as your last breath you took
Your blood with mine into the earth did soak
And who could say which blood was yours
Say which blood was mine
None for our blood flowed deepest red
Forever lives entwined
She was the music of the night
Sang the sirens bewitching songs
Luring men high up the mountain slopes
Her beauty to gaze upon
But was she real or just a myth
This lady of the night
None will know for none returned
Of the young men who left in the dark
But still her haunting melodies
Fill the mountain glens
Beautiful clear crystal tones
That invade the minds of men
Who is she? What is she?
Whose songs have such haunting power
Songs that echo 'cross the mountain slopes
The minds of men to snare
Perhaps its just the mountain winds
Echoing round trees and slopes
None will ever know
For none has ever seen the one
Who sings the music of the night
I just fancied trying something completely different to my usual stuff. Let me know what you think
Life blood
in lush colour
of humming scents,
a promise of a bloom
summoning a decay
- the swan song
in a ripe sigh.

You arrived suddenly in my tangerine bliss
with my heart clinched in your fist
you touched me... and the dance started
with a gape of spontaneous combustion
you swirled me around the dance floor
dancing cheek to cheek....

we skipped the light fandango
fox trotting and waltzing to the beat of tango
the big band broke into a swing
while the love light shone as a crystal disco ball
jitterbug jive and a reet beet
dance macabre and so light on our feet

You lead me by the hand bodies musing
all the while... you lead me out by my hand
and made way into the galaxy for our feet
as we danced like fine wine...becoming intoxicated
by its beauty~ you danced me into Shangri-La
with my eyes wide and full of imagination
we danced through tangled forests of light

like Fred and Ginger
tiptoeing upon the backs of stars
dipping into galaxies and twirling on quasars
i hold your hand as you pirouette
upon the moons of a mystic world
as our romantic lambada is unfurled
forbidden planets and forbidden dance
the secrets of whirlwind romance

we were like Phoenix that had risen
dancing into the morning dew and nectarine
and I kissed you as the tangerines fell
from the sky~ dazed with a trial of stars
and then oh yes then.... I pronounced myself
as yours....as we escaped to paradise
dancing all the while.....cheek to cheek
as you gave me the Tangerine Kiss.....

tangerine kisses, tangerine dreams
sipped of the nectar of the gods
the fruit of creation in the form of love
a blessing from goddess, earth and above
we dance the steps of swoon and lean
and sweet nuances of tangerine
with every blessing in between

I felt a kiss upon my frozen cheeks
a clear promise of all our tomorrows
as I sleep with love within our hearts
your sweet tangerine kisses and dreams
are part of our creation... straight from above
My heart is dancing and dreaming
with you always a blessing from God.
What a joy and what fun to write collabration with awesome poet wolf spirit aka quinfinn
I once had a dream where the darkness
Taunted me, where it encircled me,
Like a prisoner. I was in a cage never
To be released kept as darkness's prey.

Its power over me saturated my Immaterial
Soul, cracked wept with it putrid stench,
Enclosing me in this place of ill fate. it knew
Of the fears of what delved in this place.

I was the meat it was the vulture picking at
A carcass still living, Peeling the light and
Digesting my terror feeding its obscurity,
It hunger in this darkened nest.

It had an instinct to hold me, to keep eyes
Unseen, to grasp the darkness to keep all
Black,I was entombed in this chaos.
Was I lost never to find the path back.

My mind was lucid, falling beneath its
Crushing embrace, but when the moment
Lost, I woke up sweating cold terror, I
Was in darkness still till eyes focused light.

All but a dream, all but a moment of twisted
Moments of things not consciously seen, I was
Fine, back in the living, till my next sleep, what
Waited in the slumber darkness or light.
I have had a repeating dream of darkness surrounding me and suffocating me each time I wake I1m shaking and sweating like I`m in an oven. freaks me out every time...
