To be your blanket and your bed of dreams,
To be your pillow, the one you could embrace,
it's not what I wish to be
But to be the lover in your life:
The one you could embrace,
The one that could embrace you as well,
That's what I wish to be
Yet to be a lover in your life:
I first need to approach you in the streets,
Or wherever the place that you may be at

Oh COVID,
You made me mask my shyness
And forced me to raise my voice
Now every so often I have a sore throat

This makes me feel like you have made
a home out in my body

It’s seems that that’s effect you have on people
You are so contagious, that even those
who do not have you, think
That they may have you as an unwanted guest
Wrecking havoc in their lungs,

Throat

*cough

I’m a listener.

I’ve been listening to my inner voice for as long as I remember. This voice creates a series of thoughts that I cannot consider my own. Sometimes I manage to shut it down. But then it comes back again. Just like right now...

It plays and plays nonstop even when I’m listening to someone else talk. After all, I’m a listener. I listen even to the silence when I managed to shut this voice down.

When I stopped doing what I was doing
So doing what I was doing
Will help me do what I stopped doing

And subsequently,
I will be doing what I should have not stop doing

That is, write poetry.

When the moon arrives and sets above my head
I feel a lightbulb turns on bright with light ideas
Then they begin to expand like stars that spread

a path that leads towards a verse

Something is Off and it’s not the light.
The room is illuminated.
But as illuminated as it is, I still fail to see
that which is Off.

Today, I think of The Amazon,
And how illuminated it must be
It’s full of fires growing strong

A Rose in Winter Land
Everlasting Apr 2020
a rose as red as blood has bloom
and birds have come to see it now
the grass is growing greener too
despite the falling of white snow
So many mountains watch afar
and rivers thaw melodic chants
as moons become one shining star
to give the sun to this one plant
but deers and bears can’t trust their eyes
For Winter barely has arrived
the warm they feel is thought as lies
they seek refuge in order to survive

yet this one rose has bloomed in Winter Land,
was this a miracle or was it planned?

She was the kind to cook according to her moods
When she was happy, all her food tasted extremely good
But when sadness overthook her heart,
And when bitterness overtook her soul,
her cooking ability became sad,
And bitter ...

Plus she refused to eat any  more sadness in her life
Or any more bitterness

That all her cooking went

To waste

Love

You were fire? No, you were water.
And in you, I dove.
And in you, I swam.
And from you, I drank...
till I drown?

But you weren't just water. Were you?
You were fire.
And in you, I walked.
And in you, I ran.
And from you, I burned...
till I died?

But you weren't just that...were you?

You were the fire and the water.
You were both, simultaneously.
You quenched my thirst for love.
You extinguished the flames of fear that devoured me each day
with your water of love.
And when the water rose, and too much love was drowning me,
you evaporated the waters, with your fire of trust till I could have my own space to breathe...

But you weren't just that... Were you?

You were also the air.
The one I breathed in.
The one I breathed out
every day?

You were also the earth.
The one that I walked on.
The one who supported my weight?

You were the four elements in one.
And in turn, you became
an important element in my life.

Sometimes you wonder
what it feels like to kiss

And you want to kiss the world goodbye
And you want to kiss everyone good bye
But you know deep down
That that's not what you want
You know deep down that a kiss is sacred
And that your lips are only meant to kiss

Not death

But life

I wish to know the truth

Why do I feel the urge to know about us?

Why are humans such a mystery?

Is there anyone who truly understands what we are?

Why do I feel tired? Why do I feel exhausted?
I wish I knew the questions to answer my questions
I wish I knew why I feel so tired.

I just wish I knew....

When you see the sea and a poem,
It makes you wonder doesn't it?

Waves of thoughts begin to form...
you can't help but noticed
that the majority of people prefer Poetry that is raw...

It's as if writing or reading a poem creates the effect as if those written words form waves that come towards the shore of a sheet of paper...

And if the reader is unprepared, those waves can ebb him back to where the waves come from

And drown him in the sea of thoughts

I lost it. It came to be like a pen,
filled with ink, ready to imprint,
on paper, the ideas, the thoughts,
that now, I have lost.

And now, that I think about it,
it wasn't but a pen on my hand,
It was but the ability
to get lost in this pen,
to wander in thoughts,
to never find that I got lost
and while I got lost
that I would also lose part of my mind.

Yes, I lost the sense of what it is true,
I lost the sense of what it is the essence of life,
I lost the purpose of what is to live
I lost it

I thought that by writing, I would find
what I yearned to find,
And I wrote and I found what I thought
I wanted to find,

but ultimately,

I found nothing.

I only found out,
that life goes on...
and that life
kept going without me.

Dark night
where the moon often hides amidst the clouds
and the stars are distant so far away from our sight
Tell me, how do you feel tonight?

how do you feel by knowing many fear to walk
the streets when you are the only company they got?

Dark night
this is something you must know,
When I see you, I grab a flashlight or some lamp
I’m not scared of you per se
I’m afraid I would tumble down the road with the first rock that gets in my way

Dark night
With your presence, you blind me so
I become so blind that I need to rely in the senses that I usually don’t
