The moon smiles on your face
to make the night wonderful
The ocean flows in your eyes
to make the waves beautiful
and I melt in your arms
where I find peace.

The clouds feel jealous
of your smooth hair
The gentle breeze blows
your smell in the air
and you melt my heart
with your sweet voice.

Maybe nature is pleased
with your simplicity
and the spring is painted
with your beauty.
I find kindness in your words
and hope you'll shine me always.

I've got a little black book, with my poems in it
I've got the wind to rock me to sleep
I've got a perpetually dying radio
That brings the news to me
I've got everything I need up in this tree
This tree I live in on my own
I've got books and **** and mobile phones
I've got a little two burner stove
I've got a bright new perspective
And every new day
I know that I'm not all alone
There are squirrels, and birds
And bugs up here
It feels like everybody is home.
Some reflections and an homage to Pink Floyd. My little sister once told me I'd have to leave that tree and face the real world someday. I dunno, the world felt pretty real to me while I was up there.

Reworked this a little bit, I think it's finally come around.

you are sunflowers and summer rain.
you speak softly "we could have a place"
of our own, in the woods, in the meadows,
built of wood and built of love, built of us.

the cottage: cozy, us: all tangled up
and holding hands, what's yours is mine,
so you stole my hoodies and my heart.
our walls are covered with notes and art.

each night we talk under the covers,
you and i, we smile and pass the time.
i grab your hand and you hold mine,
i want this peace until the end of time.
based on a conversation i had with one of my close friends. i would marry her one day if she asked

This long life has been
informed by love.  We shared
each other Oh! for so
short a time.

Like fruit we hung onto
the sweet drops of new
nectar's night.
We peeled each other
to the pink skin of sighs.

It was a delicate scent
when blown into the
stars quiet Space.  We
sped into the walls of
destiny and crashed
in the pulp of sorrow.

But I miss you in this
orchard of dessicated
memories.

I am rawed by the thought
of you.
