It will not break free
farthest-away it spans—
a line and the middle seam.
the bridge
from breath to belief,
from ridge to ridge
the beginning to the end.

In a whisper of a fall
The tightrope pulled taut
gravity beneath us

walking the arc tremor
My path half-phased,

Hold the Blue dot aloft,
With a string
draw a line right through it

    Higher still,
a balloon’s great lift
pulls the same thread
in an upward cloudless drift

It's about two city blocks,
or two football fields end-to-end.

This is just under the height of the Empire State Building

In open terrain,
it would look like a thread rising endlessly vanishing
into the sky.

Cool morning hours: Air is denser and less turbulent as in
Clear skies

The rope appears like a glowing wire
it vibrates slightly in the hour
of light as
defying nature's usual paths.

Vibrations hum through the string,
like a long, single harp note.

It carries even distant footsteps or balloon-tugging winds

Cool in the morning, warm by noon  .Curios path that doesn’t fall.

Slight quivers beneath my feet, are enough for us to hang on to
‐--------------------------------------------------
Others below might find the line Suspicious of its height--

The string—whether hanging across  the sky—
weight and lift
are my partners in tension.

Forevery step is a study in my balance---
we chase distance or meaning.
