I had myself a dream last night
And then stomped it all out
Tried to make it die
Half of my heart
Half of my mind
Half of my soul
Half of my time
Still it lives
When you sing
                                                                                           I cry

When as stars you shine
                                                                                    I wonder
                                                                                   and sigh

You live in the hollow
                         of my moon

               eating my shrooms

You glitter bright

               to my arms delight

Your comet eyes

Milky way smile

Star cluster hair

Nebulous wiles

and cares

Have caught me intentionally
                                                      unaware
A glimpse into the mirror
reveals fresh creases crossing
over the corners of my mouth—
lines written in immutable ink;
I try not to linger

crumbling upon a bed
scarcely bearing its title,
strewn with lonely sheets;
I bundle them against my chest
using rougher hands than I had left
Leaves scratched
on their arduous journey
to the forest floor
haikuesque
She was the one pool
where I would happily drown,

you're perfect,
don't change a thing,

but two
simple sentences
resonate within me

"Are you satisfied?"

"No, you haven't kissed me."
