Words can cut you
to the core
leaving you lying
on the floor

When they're spoke
it can make you cry
makes you feel like
you want to die

Other times
they can make you feel love
delivered on
the wings of doves

Words of love
and sweet romance
feeling like
you're in a trance

Another way
they can be spoken
feeling like
you're sad and broken

Hearing them spoke
can make you smile
even if
for a little while

Raising you up
or making you sour
they have such
incredible power

Some are true
and some are lies
hits you right
between the eyes

Careful of what
you say or write
it can cause
an ugly fight

All us poets
we are not zeros
we are literary
super heroes

Using our words
to express our feelings
there's no floors
and no ceilings

So keep on writing
till you die
making them laugh
making them cry
You carried me for nine months
inside of your womb
It wasn't an easy pregnancy
of this you may presume

Thank you for changing me
when my diapers were soiled
and for the time you spent holding me
All the time you toiled

When it was time for me to go to school
I really screamed and cried
It's because I love you
I didn't want to leave your side

Then when I became a teen
I seemed to find trouble
But you never let it get to me
protected by your bubble

I went and joined the army
on this you would cry
I told you not to worry
You were afraid that I would die

After I got married
what a grandmother you would make
But for you the Lord had other plans
Up to heaven He would take

The pain has lessened
slowly through the years
All except Mothers Day
That's a day filled with tears
Silently sitting
out on my chair
Lilac scent wafting
up thru the air

Forsythia blooms
so yellow and bright
Peony flowers
a pure snowy white

Birds are singing
Songs set me at ease
Trees are growing
pollen makes me sneeze

Winter has loosened
It's icy cold grip
Now it's springs turn
to captain the ship

You Are

You are a dream to me
My skin at times I feel so weak
Like any rubied barb from natures many wildly growing plants
Could cut me deep
Then I bleed
My heart
Still trapped inside my chest
My heartbeat loses its rhythm
Like every wasted palpitation could never make you dance
A heart attack
Then I die
My love
My love saves me now from darkness
Like any destructive demon has angels fighting against
These unseen hands
Guide me home
To you

To you the skin I give
What you've become to me alone
Like a reason to feel pleasure in a world completely numb
Sweet joyous dream
Hopeful home
My peace

The worst thing that anybody can have especially a poet are empty words. - **Jacob Cuadro
Let your words flow in the atmosphere don't be silence.
Every song
is the reamins
of love.

Every light
the remains
of time.
A knot
of time.

And every sign
that remains
of a cry.

I want to live
and
I want to die.

I want to scream
and
I want to cry.

I want to bleed
and
I want to heal.

I want to be numb
and
I want to feel.
