My love

witchy woman
I come not
From a broken home
From a broken life
Or broken dreams
I come from a broken mind, not so easy to see
From the first draw of blood I made, I knew I wasn't the same
It was love at first sight, my secret beautiful blade
It was perfect.
We spent time together
She was there for me
Like no one was before
She gave me enough pain, utmost pleasure
Always wanting more
Until one day, someone saw
My lovely secret out
They took her away, my wonderful blade
They didn't understand this love affair that had come about
They told me she was precarious
Full of diseases and grime
This scared me enough, so that I haven't returned
To flirt with my old obsession
But from time to time
When I consider deeply
I never learned my lesson

I've tasted jealously before.
Jealousy for objects,
but never for a person.
It's a sickening taste,
and a nauseating smell,
but it fills me.
This jealously pools in my eyes
and rolls down my cheeks
in fat green drops.
And I can feel it -
bubbling angrily inside me.
It rises and falls like the tide
It churns and thrashes about
like a wave during a storm
or a wild beast -
it wants to be released onto her.
And the one thought that races through my mind:
HOW DARE SHE.
How Dare She..
how dare she...
As long as she is about,
my senses are nothing but useless.
Even when she is gone,
the thought of her angers a beast inside me.
And all I can think of is
*how
dare
she

He laced her morning coffee with Ecstasy and prayed for the worst.
Trudging footsteps down the stairs as she slips on his shirt,
buttons done up halfheartedly as the soft blue denim hung delicately
about her.
her hair kissed at her shoulders and her breath lay in her mouth
tainted with whiskey and malt liquor, as she yawned and stretched;
bare feet padding against the cold floorboards, as they creaked beneath her.
She walks to greet her lover, grins painted on faces as the coffee cup
simmers and the drugs dissolve; as the love she had for him, dissolves alongside it.
The "i"'s of this keyboard know me better than the eyes of anyone I know
This aloof computer has seen me ***** ugly thoughts while "in real life" I don't bat an eye
I am a wounded owl in the night
fearing- free of reason- the sudden dawn
You might be able to help me, but the scars reappear when you leave,
the only magic trick I believe in anymore
(knowledge spoils and sweetens)
don't pity me when I say I can never be loved
You only love one shell of many

A Yellow Domino
The ashes
Drift from miles away
The smoke
Licks up every corner
The dust
Hides the landscape today

A
Blurry
Fuzzy
Hazy
Day
Keeps all outdoor fun at bay

Coughing
Wheezing
Sneezing
Choking
People all around.

                                              up
The number goes right
But the low light brings sight
                                                              down
Turning the streets into a maze
Caught in such a heavy haze.

She's Poetry

She's Poetry,
in more ways than she herself knows.
Just a glance in my direction with those radiant eyes,
or even the mere sound of her voice escaping those lips of silk,
is enough to awaken the butterflies that have been at rest in my soul for what feels like an eternity,
with the intensity of a cyclone.

She's Poetry,
Moving like the smoke releasing from the lit end of my cigarette,
drifting softly wherever the wind may take her.
Her luminous smile alone
is enough of a spark to set my mind ablaze,
giving me the inspiration to write for days and days and days.

She's Poetry.
With just the slightest touch, all my pain instantaneously evaporates,
and my heart begins to melt away.
Sweet as the summer rain, she swims through the rivers of my brain,
and I'm still wondering if she feels the same.

Shes Poetry,
in more ways than she herself knows.

I don't miss your eyes
or even your lips.
I don't miss your frame:
your shoulders, your chin, your hips.
I don't miss the lust,
or the heat of the moment.

I miss the feeling behind it all.

I miss eyes that undress my thoughts.
Stripping them of every layer until all
that's left is venerable, naked, trembling truth.
I miss lips stitched to a mouth that has power.
The power to speak not only to my ears, but to
       every inch of me.
Shooting hot, prickly shivers down my spine
OR
       sending massive cashing-to-the-shore shakes
on the Sea of My Own Tears.
I miss a frame that screams "I want you".
        Shoulders that lead,
        a chin that rests,
        hip bones that press.

I miss you more than I thought I would… think I should.
You were the first to say it, so let me be the second: I miss you more than I thought I would.
I wish I could give you much more-
Than my mouth's every empty sound;
Words; Like long abandoned shell homes.
More than the mere reality of being around.

I wish I could give you more-
Than my body; physical presence.
Than my touch and warm embrace-
Heated in the lust of every past instance.

I wish I could give you more-
Than gifts; my time and attention.
My voice, support, smiles and laughter.
Wish I'd give you my heart's pure affection.

I wish you knew me way before-
The loss of every ounce of love I sought.
Before the space between spaces filled me,
Before the scent of love was eternally forgot.

See, every failed fairy tale-
Robbed my love of its mass;
Left my heart cold, unloving.
Empty, like a sand less hourglass.

Every shattered future-
Taught me how not to love;
To cherish only what's left over,
Fading innocence; everything I have.

Every end of a new beginning-
Curved a beast out of my soul;
A sweet, charming, beautiful beast.
Opposite of what you think you know.

I wish you knew me before-
I could smile and say I love you-
As I whisper praises to the next girl;
Of last night, in bed, how she was beautiful.

I wish you knew me before-
I could hug and hold you tight-
With the very warm arms that will-
Passionately caress your friend at night.

I wish you knew me before-
I knew a forever that comes and goes;
Before the bits of hurt and nurtured lusts;
Before I my pain was of a like nobody knows.

I wish you knew me before-
The pieces of my broken heart-
Spread through my thick, vast past.
So I could love you, whole and not in part.

I really wish you knew me before-
My tears massed into this smiley mask-
That stuck to my visage. Before being nice-
Was merely my poker face, and not a willful task.

But most importantly… I wish you will teach me-
To love you with the void space where my heart was;
To say I love you in silence; with every beat of our heart;
To be one with you; to love with my rights and my flaws.

Keep Smiling

madeline may
my lungs burn
as I inhale your stench
a cigarette
the secondhand smoke
of a broken lover
breathing your cancer on me
watching my bones decay
and calling it
beautiful
inspired by someone else's poetry~
