If I wrote a book,
you will be my central character.
Million copies later,
I may write through your impeccable knowledge.

If I wrote a poem,
you will be in every word.
A couple of views later,
I may speak through your poetic silence.

If I acted in a play,
you will be my audience.
A few applauses later,
I may act out a monologue of glorious affection.

Say hi,
Say hello,
Say no more,
When words stop,
I will understand,
That we are where we need to be.

If I met you in real life,
you will be my soul mate.
A few decades later,
I may seek a second life with you.

So, meet me now! :)

My love to you.

I’d capture the wind
And bring you its song.
But the breeze slips through my fingers,
It’s where it belongs.
I’d paint the sky
But the colors would fade
After a while.
I’d weave a tale
Of dreams and delight,
But stories are whispers
Lost in the night.
So I give you my soul,
In Whispers, in deeds,
In the quiet moments
Where love truly leads.
For the heart knows no bounds,
No lock, no key,
It’s yours, ever after,
For all eternity.

And Lovers
Hopes,
dreams
and plans

The road is empty
in the middle of the night
The path is crooked With me on
the way Maybe someone will meet
A crescent moon is also curved
The clouds float away
I walk on the road of my mind
Head against the window grill.
Not everyone can walk but their believe and imaginations take them far from where they are. Sill they are alone.

You are shimmering satin
I’ve tended, mended, and woven
Each stitch whispered
Into patches of petals.
You unfurl
As vast translucent joy
Dappled light emerging
Belting an unbridled melody
A vision born from threads I’ve sewn

Abandoned

Abandoned, Still, Silent,
only the dust is moving
dancing a noiseless perpetual waltz.
Here and there a mote
intersects the silent sun,
(that slips in through broken glass)
picking out the rainbow rays.
Just the quick perception
of mouse and bird
to observe the shafts of coloured light
that they do not comprehend.

Above the pulpit
marble eyes look out,
and stone lips
caught in the act
cry out
"Why have you forsaken Me?"
Immobile hands are pinned
out wide,
to receive the world.
They cannot open the door
but wait
for someone to come.
One of the first I wrote, sometime in the late 1980's. The first one outside English lessons in school.

You talked in poetry
And I leaned in closer with each line
Another day, another act of folly
Reset only with prose and sunrise

I still think about you
But do you too?
When Laying at night
With everything dark in sight
Counting the ceiling fan blades
As your awakeness don't fades
Yet staring at nothing to see
Do you still think about me?
