snow sticking to the windshield
no sand, wheels slipping

pressed between pages

beware of extremes
do not try to be a saint
be human instead
respect others and your self
give love when and where you can
and help when and where you can
without an expectation

to other ideas and views

wrapped thick with brambles
under a spreading walnut

red light, green light, flash
bounce go rockabye baby

silly old gander
all puffed up and parading
with his store bought love

superior to us all

fatalistic optimist

i know the value of life

rubber boots splash and splatter
a drowning parade

I honestly doubt
that he is capable of
love or compassion
if you could only just see

a spider crab flows

all rippled brown green

what have they done to your soul
these liars and frauds

i am but a flame
of flesh and i am burning
ideas fly in

ghostly silver pools
gnarled and twisted silhouettes
moonlight on the path

born dead and living
my brothers and my sisters
i cherish you all

our universe is
the most beautiful woman
wearing a red shift
arms outstretched she pirouettes
with grace and wild abandon
full of light and life

i thought i knew love
when i was but a young man
so much wiser now

on top of the hill
stands an old and stately house
each evening at sunset
two crows would perch together
upon the peak of its' roof
nuzzling one another
preening and softly cawing
for years they were always there
no matter what the weather
nor the season of the year
but two years ago it changed
and now only one crow sits
upon the roof at sunset
alone, hunched and unmoving
silent and forlorn
