I hardly think about you
Except when the music plays
And I realize that no one else
In the whole wide world
Knows the lyrics
But us...
Once or twice a day is not that much, after all...

nivek
trying times
hot furnace

volcanic breath
fire in the blood

falling apart
falling back together

a unity of pain
deep acceptance
I see the shape of things
As they shift
And slowly change.

I feel the weight it brings
As they chisel
And carve their names.

As the clouds move through their lives
They stretch, and pull apart.
No cloud will ever be the way
It was back at its start.

Maybe we are as those clouds,
Reshaping as we go.
No need to be ashamed nor proud.
Simply travel where winds blow.

Maybe we could learn from them,
Who exist but do not fight.
Face reality with grace, and then
Do the same in the windy night.
If one believes something they should have proof .
If one does not believe they should have proof as well .

Don't hide behind your protasis .
May all your "ifs" sink into the sea .

Stand firmly on the waters of your apodosis .
Ease your mind and set your spirit free .

You shan’t seek
Love in lust,
Just as you can’t draw
Nectar from a rose’s trust.

For desire is not love,

And all love is not desired.
Finally putting it in a poem

Dear dad,
Your contagious beams,
Spread through my body,
Infect my cheeks.

You reflect the day-
The soul of a child,
In the body of a man-
Life's not kind.

Yet you shine,
As a movie critique,
With zero dad ***,
And a good physique.

However busy,
You may be,
You leave it all aside
For our family.

Very grateful we must be.
Not all heroes are caped, you see,
Because dad,
You are our hero in a lungi!
Happy Father's Day!
