If the right thing
is often the hardest to do
then why was it so easy
leaving you?
You are the words I speak
The pause in between
Where I linger for a while

You are the thoughts I seek
The inspiration from within
Where I submerge denial

You are my heartbeat at its peak
The blood rush through ravine
Where all is cleansed of vile

You are the irrationality I tweak
The insanity that was forseen
Where I lose myself and smile

You are the glow that leaks
The inner beauty that they all mean
Where it paints all I see mile by mile

Blah blah blah
Enjoy....maybe?
Ryn's a young poet from S'pore
Whose poems are now folklore
They're lighter than air
They give flight to despair
Your sanity they will restore!
Just started reading his stuff - it's great! If you're not following him you should - he takes the common place and makes it uncommon!
From the Valley of the Dead
She cries out to be fed
Why does she hunger so
Only an addict could ever know...

I want to know
I've laid my inquiries out in the snow

I wrapped myself up in a quilt
Before my soul done wilt

Everything about it is perfect,
except

The facts don't conform to my fantasy
I can't control this reality

You can't read my mind,
I don't mind. And for explaining: I don't have the time

Everything is perfect
Even if I tried to change it, it wouldn't work.
This poem is about the longing I experience at times to know everything. I don't enjoy the uncertainty of not knowing! So, this poem is about surrendering my need to know the outcome. Also, the last stanza is about believing that no matter how things play out, it is perfect, and attempting to interfere with how life unfolds is futile. Go with the flow, don't overthink the process. These are things I must constantly remind myself!

ahmo
waking up
now reminds me more of
digging up bones,
rather than skipping stones.

water isn't all that I hyped it up to be.

I drove miles and miles just
to discover
that the heat was broken,
and that your affection
is more of an illusion
than an authentic token,
wrapped in ***
and compassion.

Through metal weights
and steel plates,
I make a living.

Through some sort of
endless storm,
I will live

the darkness will ultimately illuminate all of the light and altruism that we have to bring to this world.
