i wonder what you'd look like
if you were stripped of your skin,
would your bones be as perfect
as your shell?

or would they be heavy with scars
etched into you slowly, filled with ink,
and laced with names you
wish you could forget?
i don't even know anymore ajdkalas.  i think writer's block is just around the bend

Darling:

Here is the shirt
that you left in my car
the day that we spent
dancing through puddles
&
stealing kisses
in the rain.

I've washed it.

So there is no trace
of the ***** I spilled
when I
laid in your lap
& told you I loved you.

You laughed then.

(Are you laughing now?)

Forever yours,

her
I would write you a poem

to tell you how I feel

but when you left

the melodic flow that

passionately pieced

my words together

followed you

out

the

door
and, i swear
nobody could have

saved her
that day, she was a victim
    to graffiti and
       road signs.

you* are my daisy
by the c h a i n l i n k
fence.
an old one, but i like it.  it still tells the truth
attraction is just
a synthetic reaction,
but we've got
*chemistry
ten word tuesday, hell yes.
we stole dandelions from the fields
like hard-time criminals
and watched as they melted
in the palms of our hands--

i should have realized it was a
perfect euphemism
for the months to follow.
i don't know where this came from
The moon held me down,
Then your shining face swept me,
Now, I rise with sun.
i am done cutting off parts of myself
to give to you,
only to watch you rearrange me
to look more like her.

i'm haunted by my past,
but i don't want to be
someone else's ghost.
