I have been on this quest for years and years
trying to just perfect myself
make a glass obelisk trophy
i might put on my shelf an oddysey
to dream things
such as that
a goalless
win
in view of our society
the way our wins now
are weighed and viewed
in how many people
you have walked over
stepped on
on your way to the top

Days like today bring me to reminisce,
of the life we shared, now an abyss.

Recent life has been testing,
this lonely Mother’s Day solidifies your resting.
Today it feels more like you were never here,
what type of life is it that I’m now investing?

Posed with the question of happiness.
what is this meaning without you?
living today admonishes the truth,
only former memories allow me your bliss.

Mixed feelings of love and hatred,
circumvent in this current conquest.
As I contemplate reaching out I'm reminded,
that your remains are all that is left.

Be at peace with the truth,
is the message you conveyed well.
I question God about this new reality,
a life filled with constant duality.

Your loss is permanent,
& recognizing this is pertinent.
This daily battle without you,
I cope because your gift of a DNA armament.

“Time brings perspective”,
were the words that escaped from your soul.
You are still my everything,
and today I escape into your memory.
What you love you must love now. RIP Cynthia Goosen. Your memory lives on! #love #depression #longing #sadness #mourning #pain # mothers-day

The problems in the world
                will never end
Some will be solved,

will come to replace them

Certain things matter
Most do not
Movements in the water
Tsunamis of the heart
Global rubble
Mind junk
People focus on themselves
Not each other
Earthquakes in the dark
Certain things matter
Angry ants storming the hill
Blind bees swarming the hive
We are natural disasters
And create our own demise

why do blackbirds
leave so many brown droppings
on my white mailbox, riveted
to a red painted post, planted
in green Bermuda grass, by
a gray asphalt road, under
a baby blue eye sky
Yes Cha, you made me think of bird droppings, but it is a question I ask myself every time I go to the
mailbox--a truer tale I have never told
I have been stabbed with a knife
With scissors by my ex-wife

I've been beaten ******
***** ****** and muddy

I've been jilted and cheated upon
Kept awake for many a dawn

Tortured and then thrown in a pit
But never tempted to say "I quit"

It is discipline of the mind
The world is going to be unkind

I know it isn't easy for some
When all thoughts are dreary and glum

But you and only you define
Your future is yours to design

We're in the sun and I'm moving from your mouth
to your jeans, we're watching the stars and we're moving
We're going down the green boulevard and we're cruising
you speak Romanian, I speak you, we're going to far
and moving to the beat as one and the wind blows the hair
in my face and I got news for you, I can see you just clearly
as I could before, carefully, barely hanging on and catching movies

I can't keep away from your kiss, back and forth want to feel
the rest of you and all of you can't wait to catch you all alone
we're in the sun and I'm moving from your mouth
to the hole in your heart, tell me how you feel and who you are
you speak barely, your rhythmic breaths tell me all I need to know
waste the day and spend all the time in your pockets, all alone
floating around your head and hanging midair in your palms like
a red balloon
