i'm at the edge
and it is impossible for me
to give space to you
because if i do
i may fall

Tea Leaves

The house seemed so small.
Yet here in my memory as a child
so very long ago it was always huge.
I walk through the rooms .
Familiar as they always were.

I can almost hear your voice
Calling me to the table.
Or to get ready for bed.

The packing had almost finished
Everything in boxes that would
never be opened again.

In your old kitchen I pack the
dinnerware that had had carried
our sustenance until I was an adult.
Piece by piece
I carefully place them in the box.

Then I find your tea cup
The one you used faithfully
each day of your life.
It still had a single tea leaf
Dried and on the rim.
Where your lips had been.

That is when the grief hit me
as it had never done before.

Time is a funny thing.
It runs and runs and runs
And even when it runs all out
There's still more to run.
It's crazy how time flies by when I'm smiling
And it's crazy how time crawls when I'm crying.
Time is crazy
And
Time is running.

An evening comes wading through the clouds
crimson the feet wet in mists unfurling

silences whisper hushed in shadows and leafless
stalks, tangled hair, moist in the mellow winds
foreboding the hour when minnows sleep

it will rain tonight
                   soft on the lotus ponds
landing by the dancing canvas leaves
                   painted in hues of cream-white
                            birthing buds of pink
                                     smiling shy

robed in the regal hues of the moon
blushing behind the mourning palms
painted against the skies
solemn

whirling, whirling like a dervish

it is the hymn of the skies
it is the early moon
it is the late koel
the pond overflowing
in longing

I will swoon rhapsodizing

Saying your name in syllables
whirling, I rise levitating
You are there in the distance
You are here by my side

Destiny's child
had a smile,
"How are you doin"
She winked.

"There have been many
close calls,
I've done my best
Afraid you'll have to do the rest"

Yanked out of the way
of that car
flying by at a hundred miles an hour
paused just long enough,
Didn't fall when surrender called.

There was that 18 wheeler
changing lanes fast,
Snow flying everywhere,
Couldn't see me,
Moved on over to the center divider,
The only place not concrete,
Destiny's child
she likes to smile,
Laughs with glee,
A tinkerbell to me.

The CHP didn't look into my pocket
"Please"
Destiny's child
she's been on my side,
I just go along for the ride,
She takes care of everything.

We've all had 'em
many close calls,
Almost near falls,
Some have her
some don't,
Some survive,
Some die.
Directing traffic,
Destiny's child,
Roads not taken
every once in a while.

There she goes laughing,
She can be pretty wild,
Destiny's child.

There ought to be a Tarot card
with her name,
When she steps in
the game will change,
She knows how to dance on the
head of a pin,
Change generations
with a gleeful laughing grin.

Destiny's child
She was there that night,
When I was looking through the circular light
Stop sign with a grin,
She knows when you gotta end,
She knows when you gotta begin.

You'll catch her out of the corner
of your eye,
When the light's just right,
She ain't up there with the green flash,
But she definitely has class.

Destiny's child,
I'll be grateful to her
'till the last gasp.

your wild hair
is just a little
glimpse of who
you are,
it tells me
that your heart
and your dreams
and soul
are just as wild
as those locks
of yours
you are lovely
and free
and brave
and
your heart finds
life in color
and boldness
and who you are,
wildflower,
makes you beautiful.

I awake,
in the duality
of
light,
and dark,
my reflection
also
a shadow.

Large moon,
emanating light
through the thin clouds,
and eerie shadows
cast all around.
Enchanting,
yet all the while
haunting.
Shining all
through the night.
Moon, so large,
rising over all.

...
A lovely moonlit night.
Hope you enjoy! :)
Nature has started singing,
As early morning is ringing.
Swinging elephant is calling
Near hill top snow is stalling.

Crawling leaves in new trees,
Morning provokes far breeze.
Please feel this fragrance far,
Driving in alert this lovely car.

You create and manage well,
In sweet voice always you tell.
Dwelling in far path this soul,
Ever we do try to achieve goal.

You write eternity is amazing,
By your laws time is dancing.
Thread of love has tied nature,
Interesting is your legislature.

Oh Super Poet, good morning
In true hearts we are adoring.
As early morning is ringing
Nature has started singing.
Hearing Nature's song at early morning mind sings to wish good morning to Super Father, who is Super poet of this creation. This poem is written at holy moment on awakening of first hour offering wishes to God, beloved father of heaven and dedicated to the people of the world.
i sit across her
on the round table

i see her delicate hands
twirling on the spoon
on this ethereal summer noon
when she looks incredibly pretty
beneath the cobwebbed ceiling
amid the Doppler noise of the city
her eyes on the coffee
and mine on her.
