I chant your name in frenzy
Like a SUFI twirling round and round
LOVE, LOVE, BELOVED, BELOVED
Your name is like GOD
Ram, Allah, Buddha, Jesus

If you want to join me
In the life of LOVE
Chant with me
LOVE, LOVE.
BELOVED, BELOVED...

I carry sweets for my BELOVED
Wearing a long "LOVE robe"
Sing your praise
Jumping, dancing on the streets
With zest I meet passerby

You - my BELOVED
You are my gardener
I am your seed
I am your bud
I am your flower
I am your tree
I am the forest you walk into

In your LOVE
I utter gibberish
But only you understand it
And clap at my words with smile
I know, you'll protect me
At every step of life

Why I should take stress
Why I should be tense
Why should I worry
what world will say about me
I'm in LOVE
I'm with YOU in my being
In my thoughts, my words, my actions
I surrender to you
And leave it to you to protect me

You created me
As a LOVER
You are my maker
You are my GOD

I chant your name
With every breathe

I chant your name in frenzy
Like a SUFI twirling round and round
LOVE, LOVE, BELOVED, BELOVED
Your name is like GOD
Ram, Allah, Buddha, Jesus

If you want to join me
In the life of LOVE
Chant with me
LOVE, LOVE.
BELOVED, BELOVED...

When I pass by streets
I utter YOUR praise
I sing songs for YOU

Seeing me, people say:
"Look - here she comes
This mad woman...
"

But without care,
I sing your LOVE
Intoxicated in your LOVE

I roll in the mud & sand
And cover my body with your dirt
In your LOVE
I have lost my gender too
I know, I've become YOU

I chant your name in frenzy
A SUFI twirling round and round
LOVE, LOVE, BELOVED, BELOVED
Your name is like GOD
Ram, Allah, Buddha, Jesus

Now I have give you
The strings of my life
In your hand
You made me fearless kid in LOVE
I know you'll protect me
I'm your kid in your LOVE
The suffering and pain
That GOD has given
Only my BELOVED will end my pain

I chant your name in frenzy
Like a SUFI twirling round and round
LOVE, LOVE, BELOVED, BELOVED
Your name is like GOD
Ram, Allah, Buddha, Jesus

If you want to join me
In the life of LOVE
Chant with me
LOVE, LOVE.
BELOVED, BELOVED...

People, Seeing my LOVE
Some places
They threw stone at me
Some showered flowers at me

But no one is willing
To give place in their heart
They are just guiding me
To my BELOVED's abode

This girl - a SUFI
Is roaming, walking
A wanderlust
Like dust storm
Like blizzard rain

Chanting your name
LOVE, LOVE.
BELOVED, BELOVED...

If you want to join me
In the life of LOVE
Chant with me
LOVE, LOVE.
BELOVED, BELOVED...

You are not weak;
You just have to find out your strengths
When you feel the failure all the time,
Just do your best and surrender the rest to God
Always think positive and try to see the best in you

You are not ugly;
You just need to smile to enhance the beauty in you
Always do the good things for you but consider the welfare of others
For beauty is not just skin-deep but coming from the heart

You are loved;
Yes, don't say nobody loves you
That child who smiles when he sees you,
Jesus whom you cannot see, but always loves you
And I, the only one who will not stop loving you

I love you!
This is me, yourself.
Loving oneself is not selfishness. It is the greatest love of all.

These words...
They traverse the fine line between earth and sky.
They dwell not, surface-deep in the dirt.
They be haloed not, as the chorus of heaven.

They're just murmurs that swim intangible.
Like reticulated wisps of smoke.
Incapable of materialising...
Or take definite forms on their own.

They only await to be carefully selected,
rearranged and harnessed into a jar...
Before being sealed infinite with a title.

Be quiet and still...
For you will hear them.
Milling and floating in the silence
that exists between your heartbeats.

Listen close...
For they are fragments of you
and the universe.
They're thoughts and feelings that come awake
as you slumber.

Awaiting to be selected...
Awaiting to be rearranged...
Awaiting to be harnessed...

By you,
the conduit with a pen.
.
I believe almost everyone can write...
Just quieten down and pick up a pen. Harness the universe and conjure magic.

Let me take you down in the morning
Let me take you down at night
Let my hands flow over you
Let your lips be my delight

Let me lose my inhibition
Let me see your exhibition
Let us entwine our fingers
Let us not wait now or linger

Let me lay now with your silence
Let the stars decide who we are
Let the moment never wither
Let not time now come to Mar

Let me love you in the morning
Let me take you down tonight
Let my hands now be one with you
Let our dreams now take to flight

Tahirih Manoo
I am
clothed but yet ,
Naked.
I bare witness,
To everything.
But yet,
I recall nothing.

Who am I?
Who am I looking at?
Tahirih
And who are you?
I am pure
I am good,
My name said so.

When I feel on my neck
My babies breath
When she thinks I'm asleep
And plants a kiss on my head
When she fills the air
With her tumultuous laugh
As she winks at me
Without a word being said
When she gives me much more
Than I should be allowed
When I feel her warmth
In a winter's crowd
When she gives me a clue
To her mysteries found

These are the things
That I smile about

When she reaches for me
And takes hold of my hand
As she gives me one more
When I thought none were left
When she saves for the last
Her very best
When she opens up pieces
I haven't yet met
When there's the slightest of turns
On the edge of her mouth
When she whispers to me
And removes any doubt
When she shows me the treasures
I could never have found

These are the things
That I smile about

For Helene.

Ashes on the water, now.
Love's bones like dust downstream.
At least it got to see itself in our eyes,
Feel itself between hand holding hand

And whispered caresses.
From pillow talk to fists raised at
Concerts, glasses of Portuguese wine
On her balcony to the sound of magpies

We named our neighbours.
We were beautiful.
Began beautifully.
Ended gracefully.

I open hands that held hers and see
Nothing but skin worn by labour,
And air.
Ashes on the water, now.

Embers without a chance against rivers
Cold with melted mountain snow and
Unyielding differences.
Some loves drown with lungs too full

To cry; others float like a funeral-pyre-
Longboat into the night, ablaze.
King and queen, hand upon hand.
Crowns tied from fresh flowers,

We were beautiful.
Began beautifully.
Slid apart the way a glacier parts from
The hills; slowly, but with the force

Of its thousands of tons.
Ashes on the water,
Where the ghost of our union rests
Underneath the surface of our memories.

I will remember you.
Until the stars burn out, raining the
Dust of themselves like snow upon
These waters that always are moving.

I am bursting up and out
into the flow of the stars
pulled into the night air
      as if by magnetic forces
I am colliding with comets
        yet not quite exploding
it's that ecstatic moment
just before the tiny lights run
from toes to head in electric pleasure
          harmony with the universe
vibrates within
                pulses in aurora arcs
I am a space traveler
      my soul light glowing
unto the earth
   freshly released from the dark
in perfect syncopation
It is ecstasy without losing total control
It is beauty within sultry beauty
It is the letting go
          of temporary madness
the culmination of much awareness
                         a celebration of inner knowledge
It is so tangible I can taste it
and as dewdrops
of rainbow light prisms
dance upon my tongue
I am beaming
thankful
Oh so thankful
               for all
I now become

My tight pressed lips,
against Your tangent hips.
Our hands yield
to the symphony of surrender.
Lay your defences down,
Let our hearts pour out.
Scantitly clad souls,
Semi naked hearts,
Ever so vulnerable.

There are things
far more important
than ourselves.
There are things
that we love too much.
that it hurts.
even to let go.
In our midst,
it is each other.

''May I have the final dance under
this perishable moonlight ?''

Night falls.
It’s time for a conversation with the moon.
Its reflection upon the silky pond.
Crescent smile beams for me.
Hoot, hoot goes the owl perched up high,
Letting me know that I’m not alone,
For shadows watch me, a curiosity.
Deep into the forest, to man unknown,
I speak with the moon.
Today I brought tears for it to drink,
As they drop onto the water, sending
Ripples of emotion.
I want the moon to tell me who I am.
It’s been here for eons, surely it must know.
Sometimes silence speaks the loudest,
The moon told me.
It said to listen, and listen closely.
At first all I heard was the forest’s
Harmony of critters and swaying trees.
But then I heard it.
I heard the cooing of my mother
As she cradled me in her arms.
I heard my father’s proud pat on my back.
I heard the adulation of my peers.
But then a dark cloud blocked the
Crescent smile before me.
I then heard the demon within me.
I heard it call me for who I was.
A luscious red apple with a rotten core.
A man with a filthy secret
A man afraid of what awaits him.
A man disgusted of what he’s become.
The dark cloud went on its way,
Crescent smile came to my rescue,
For I heard hope.
What does hope sound like?
Well, it’s the laughter of a friend
Who accepts you for who you are.
It’s the rooster’s crow signaling
A new tomorrow rising with the sun.
The crescent smile beamed once again.
I’ve found myself with the moon’s song.
Heavenly host fill Hill Country skies on this night ,
delivering miracles , providing comfort to the oppressed ,
showering a confused , stress laden Earth with hope and
the promise of rest .. Sweet rest .. May Angels swaddle ,
protect and free you of your worldly burden this night ,
committing thy mind to rest , sweet rest .... Good night ..
