She wants me to come to Kansas
Said she'd introduce me to the band

I asked her if she'd thought anymore
about letting me be her man

She sings a mean Bonnie Raitt
and she wails it from the heart
Gonna tell the truth about it
Honey, that's the hardest part

There's a white train a'comin
north from Wichita

I want to make it to Lecompton
before the snow begins to fall

I know just what she needs
when she's low and when it's dark

She needs that white train
running north from Wichita

I need to lay beside her
and listen to her heart
Gonna tell the truth about it
Honey, that's the hardest part.

We are attracted to our desires
Whereas, we surrender to true Love

Today, a breeze rides thru
the window across her bed,
reaching me on the other side.
My clean bare feet resting near.

The sanctuary,
sheets so Soft
comforters comforting.
Flowers fragrant,
her colors, fresh each day.

Her body has taken shape,
like the center of a spiral shell.
A soft curled position.
Hands tucked. Delicate cheeks
resting upon them.

Two years now wondering
will her life return.
The pain pushes through her
too much to bear.
She awaits for the inevitable.
The deliverance.

I am watching over.
One of her people
this time in her life.
There are the others,
tending the difficult task
of daily living.
The dearest ones.
Facing the inevitable
hurt of losing her.

I am one of the blessed ones.
Chosen to care and
weave my love,
into the tenuous, quiet oasis
that has become her life.

Understanding,
wisdom and grace, envelop us.
A delicate tenderness abounds,
these precious moments of our day.

We’re quick to blame those that break our hearts,
Railing against lovers for our misfortunes,
Consigning them to hell and so forth,

When in reality,
Our oft exhausted and defeated transgressors
Serve merely as the catalyst for the internal destruction that follows

For no one impacts your emotional wellbeing as much as you,
And you birth your demons, your pain,
After ‘us’ is no more,
There is just you and your head,
An entity far more dangerous than any borne of flesh and blood

Do not judge those that hurt you,
For they are as foolish and human as you,
And remember that though
Love may linger and torment,
It is a reminder of what your heart can do,
When it’s met its match

We are each alone and together everywhere.
Not a molecule of you do I seek to contain...no;
refresh your beauty where you need,
for you travel like a wild vine
in search of falling light,
but your roots run deep into me.
I will bring you earth,
you bring me the beyond.

So much the heart does capture
Of visions formed to see
The single touch of silken hand
Alone of saffron breeze

To dance beyond the moonlight
A shimmering in time
Replenishing of simple bliss
Along a thread so fine

A steady wayward venture
The path now stands its place
For this is all I need to feel
The smile upon your face

A mountain in the distance
Of silhouettes so deep
Amazing fields of golden dreams
That in our heart we reap

On sands within the shoreline
Now wings are spread above
To float this now I call to thee
Of every ounce of love

Whispers on the sunrise
In captivating glow
This wilderness of songs we sing
And lyrics that we know

A place to harbor honesty
In truer words before
My heart can feel most anything
When you I do adore

Now come to me my only thought
To paint the picture fine
So that your love I capture now
Within this heart of mine

while we rest, our minds infuse with magnificent visuals.

are these wonders of what we desire,

or are they futures to be revealed?

for the free spirit can merely ponder of how sensational our dreams are the following wake

You are a rose and I am a simple leaf
People adore you while I watch from the trees
You handle yourself with dignity and pride
While I'm easily swept by the wind's blowing tide

You are a rose the most confident of them all
And I am a leaf that can easily fall
You have this beauty that radiates love
That beauty you have I could sense from above

You are a rose that can only stay in the grass
And I am a leaf that wishes to be with you at last
But you are a rose and I am a simple leaf
People will adore you, while I can only watch from the trees

No other pair of lips would ever so deftly express
the lingo of love, my lips would covet, each passing moment,
no searing kiss ever sent waves of tumult, more than your's
that to my blood, spoke in an unequivocally bold tone, made it boil in lust,
heaven is not just a figment of imagination, as skeptics would tell us,
when we met, nectar secreted every moment, how would we forget?
Never would I let you leave my heart, you robbed,at the very first sight.
trees wrapped in lights glitter
shine and sparkle under moons night
open land, expansive
to run
to slide
snow so white and soft like clouds
absorbs our bodies fall

pines and firs a canopy
casting gaze on all below
branch tips wrapped in delicate ice
magic wands
hovering o're our heads
this eve of moonlit glow
