Behold!
that drawing in
                 of breath
                         a minty
              entanglement
   of starlit senses
How they curl
       like the opposite
               of smoke
over the very
insides
     of my
           earthen throat
                         crackle of
       autumnal breezes
whooshing through
like a beacon
And in that
split-second
right before
deep freeze
my molecules
   rise and fall
       in the rhythm
            of snowflakes
each one a
unique entity
   dusting the
            solid soil
                with loamy richness
                    and simultaneous
              feather impressions
           of relief
Now
like silk draped
alabaster
I am cooled
Like sweet
        river water
  I flow
       rocked by
the slow
churn of
growing freedom
             that alights my pores
arises in tender
stillness
     through the
          looming forests
           of my skin
              penetrates the
                  unseen journey of
                     my night
                 as demulcent
          and persistent
as the balmy petals
of a
   raging,
fiery
    bloom

A tear finds its way down my cheek
I smile and hide my face in a pilllow
It's been a somewhat long week
But now that it's coming to an end
And I know what's about to happen...
It's becoming so difficult for me to stay calm
Because my heart is turning to liquid.
Your voice simply melts it,
I can't begin to imagine how I'll react in person,
I'm nervous...
But I'm excited too.
There's no one else I'd rather be with than you.
Have you ever been madly in love?

The old man broke my reverie.

On the long faded green bench white with bird droppings
he was peering at me through his silver grey beard
looking oddly out of place in that college squire park
where only the dreamers at the prime of youth
would sit between classes to exchange love notes
and steal a kiss when the passion couldn't be reined in.

Have you ever been madly in love? he repeated,
and then as if growing impatient by my silence
mumbled, pausing between words,
like they stung him like thorns
it extracts a price been paying all my life
living with a void no other woman could fill
a commitment that breeds only pain
yet makes me insanely boastful
of being madly in love.

It was recess hour and the benches were being filled up.

How many, I wondered, would still hold hands
when the classes are over.

When sunshine hits my window
Its beams dispense their plume
Just like you, light up my heart
By entering the room

The whimsical shipwreck at the bottom
of the aquarium
Toiling among the plastic starfish in
delirium
A snotty game of five card stud with
y'r maker , a stray bit of pepper trapped in
the salt shaker
A clingy acquaintance , a touchy boss , young girls
in risqué clothing wearing lip gloss
O my how the time disappears
We measure the past with decades instead of years
Amble around with aching feet as the hurried fly
by on busy streets
Window shop the same old bazaars
Tucked away come evening in our
little jars* ...

at work I think of you
and all the nasty things we do

clock in clock out
your body knows what I'm talking about

9 am your desire I awake
minutes to hours it takes

at 12 I'll have you for lunch
I'll heat it up with my warm touch

5 pm and it's time to go
you ask me to stay----but no

wait yes-----
I could use this over-time ***

It had been such a long time since I had been able to look at someone so hauntingly beautiful that I cut away the soft pieces of air to frame the memory of the moment
I swam through eternity in a single breath and was forever lost in a
flood of dreams born from the
madness in the colors of her eyes
She glowed with the magic of moonlight and her hair danced with
red flames from the sun
I had no were else I could go and helplessly I fell into a bottomless ocean of love
I drowned over and over again dying in dreams of stardust and dissecting the the delicate silk robes of each death while being haunted by her grace and beauty

.
My dress, sheer as blood
Under light, falls so soft,
Your fingers, stone hard
And pointed as the sun,
Free me from cold body,
I loose as my dress, fallen
And my spirit, bare, fresh
As the lighted moon, quakes
Without sound.

Touch me  .  .  .
My prince, rake my nudes
With tooth and lip, smell
My breaking waters living,
This spring is autumn, live,
Like a pool shudders in rain,
My skin kippering in cloud
And my *** unleashed from
Shroud, you, my man are all,
I wake in a garden full, ripen,
Of leaves and old embracings.
My springs, eternal sprouting
From a source, branch to earth
Spend me, my Lord, fire me up.

I love you from the bottom of the ocean,
all the way up to Saturn and past it.
