I have a friend who's in a way
Don't worry none, won't mention names
That daily battles bitterness
It drives them nuts, I'm sure no less

Where they've been wronged so many times
It's tuff to focus on this life
A wall they've built that's hard to scale
Could use a window if nothing else

To help see in and also out
Raise the shutter on that room of doubt
Let the breeze of trust blow in
Where it can flow back out again

Although I'm sure they're unaware
My friend is always in my prayers
And no matter what they're thrown in life
True friends stand by each other's side

I have noticed
That the strongest people
Have teddy bears
To comfort them at night
Or to be a never-ending friend
They are the one thing
That has seen
The strongest person cry
Although they may look tough
Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on
So the little worn-out animal
Sitting peacefully on the bed
Is the keeper of secrets
And the giver of comfort
But also just a simple yet wonderful
Teddy bear
I got this idea while I was at camp when I looked at my own teddy bear, then to the one other person who had one.

I can't breathe.
You're drowning me
I'm crying, screaming
While you're holding me
Why are you choosing someone like me
You're branding me, but I'm chaotic
Resistance. I've given up so just leave me be,
Cause all you're doing is just
Hurting me.

poetessa diabolica
She was a fiery seashell,
  lost 'neath convoluted oceans
     amongst opuses of pure poetry,
artistically outspoken
   'tween invertebrate reality
secretly devouring mankind,
  beware Herr Lucifer,
she rose from the gaseous chamber
to live amidst ashes of immortality
         & renowned marital infamy,
the eternal burning spirit of Lady Lazarus

Out of the ash
I rise with my red hair
And I eat men like air.

I know I'm just a stranger,
shouting blindly to the dark.
But I will see this message sent,
it comes straight from the heart.
If suicide's consumed your mind,
the "only" option left to you.
Drop me just a couple lines,
what more have you to lose?
I've seen some malice in this world,
I've felt ridiculed and shunned.
I know how attractive it can be,
hell, I've even picked the gun.
So lend me just a moment,
in the least you'll know you're heard.
Maybe with a little luck,
I'll lend some clarity through word.
I do mean it.
i loved her at first sight
if you ask how
the answer is all white
not one point till now.

was i too fool a guy
did i make haste
right now can't tell you why
that boy knows the best.

that boy who held his gaze
right on her face
read there in his daze
written happiness.

if you ever find him out
you may ask him how
he loved the girl at first sight
and loving her till now.
dedicated to the girl for being with that boy for 31 years, this day.

You
Sometimes
I close my eyes
and open them again
to see no difference

Then I wonder
which part of my day
is more painful to bear
the sleeping or the waking?

When I sleep, I dream
I dream of nightmares
of my past
and of you

When I wake up, I think
there's nothing to do but think
of what I'm doing with my life
and of you.

Now that I think about it
I can no longer tell the difference
between sleeping and waking
for it has always been about you.
It's you; it has always been you.

What can we do once we are ordinary?

Mother Teresa an ordinary nun, just a woman.

Oscar Romero an ordinary cleric, just a man.

The Beatles an ordinary band, just musicians.

An ordinary office worker changed all of China when he stopped the tanks in Tianamen Square.

An ordinary woman changed the rules about ****** harassment in the American workplace, by accident, just trying to embarrass a Supreme Court nominee.

An ordinary housewife changed the world. In a peaceful way. In a non-violent way. Corazon Aquino toppled the might of the American-backed Marcos regime.

We need moms and dads, teachers and technicians, people who work and people who play.
Pearl divers and trash removers. We need ordinary people doing ordinary things everyday - like being a carpenter - to make our world an extraordinary place.

What can we do once we are ordinary? We can save the world.

The Messiah Complex
Life is often dark for
those that dream

brighter for those born
kings and queens

brighter yet for the ones
that find beauty in all things

You may think I am too sensitive
I am just sensitive enough to cry to a sad song
I am just sensitive enough to sing along to a song that touches my heart
I am just sensitive enough to cry while watching a Hallmark movie
I am just sensitive enough to listen to other’s troubles and either empathize or sympathize with them
I am just sensitive enough to be a shoulder to cry on
I am just sensitive enough to be a good friend
I am just strong enough to not feel like apologizing for being sensitive because it is a part of who I am
Sometimes in the past somebody complained about me being too sensitive. I know longer feel like it is a character flaw. I believe it is good to care about others even if people think of it as being too sensitive.
