RAJ NANDY
THE SUMMER’S WIND!

As I walked the lonely beach the other day,
You had come in like the summer’s wind,
blowing in from the sea miles away!
You blew around enclosing me with your
swirling turns,
And made me feel as if I was momentarily -
in your loving arms!
You rekindled memories of days when we
walked the beach hand in hand,
When we had playfully built our castles on
the golden sand!
Those days when your kisses were thousand
miles deep,
And I in your arms use to fall fast asleep!
Then with the turning of the tide you went
off into the sea,
Never looking back to see what has become
of me!
Now the waves wash my feet as I walk the
beach all alone,
And you remain in my mind playing like an
old summer’s song!

beth fwoah dream
clouds more
intense in their
deep questionings,

the sky blossoms
like an early rose,

the earth takes a deep breath
mourns for the brightest stars,

the moon gathers
mirrorings and soft
icicles, dreams of summer’s
thin feathery wings.
she speaks of hills
from times passed behind

of cloud capped tops
and snow capped peaks

can't we go back once
where wind stole my stole
and you chased down the wind

clouds dipped to see me blush
as you wrapped my heart warm

can we go back once

the yaks may still be grazing
time may still be standing

by chance.

My mood
Is enhanced, I'll take a chance
At finding amor,
No more
Holding
Back.
No more
Thinking
This
Or that.
Just going for it
No edgy guessing.
Just me,
Something great
Is bound to happen.

*I sang to the moon in your favourite style
with lemonade lyrics and daffodil song
Gathered the stars that I found in your smile,
leaving the universe dark before long

Moved every mountain in spite of their size,
short in the middle and tall on the ends
So that the sunset reflects in your eyes
and to your heart every echo now sends

Painted the oceans in rose petal mist,
colors as soft as the touch of your hand
Walked on a shoreline the waves gently kissed,
followed the footprints we left in the sand

Wrote you a poem of whimsical scenes,
written in verses now speaking of love
So that you know in my wildest dreams,
it’s always you that I am thinking of
Even in my wildest dreams I never could have imagined you loving me.

i.

Society keepeth their amour' in a box
Hidden, unrevealed, secretive, locked;
Me and mine Jane, shalt be open as a flame,
As on mine knee's I peck upon her toe's;
Again and again.

ii.

In the midday hour's when her back and neck get's sore
Mine fingertip's shalt caresseth her epidermis;
With sultry emollient, from her head to her feet.
I rubbeth in deep, as tis she shalt falleth asleep
As the best massage she's ever hadst,
Put's her into a trance in mine hold:
In peace she slumbereth,
Into a romantic kingdom
Stacked with ourn affection's gold.

iii.

Over an hour-plus thirty minute's,
Mine sweaty Palm's art tender;
Though it was all worth it
To mine queen mine soul surrendered;
Entering in her shuteye, I entered in locking ourn leg's, head's, arm's: closely cuddling-pillow's feathered.
Here at this moment, nothing else in the world mattered.

//
the moon was bright// light of the night...

sing to me tunes// early summer in june//

shine down your old light// borrowed from the sun tonight..

don't feel ashamed// you are not to blame//

i am sad because of me// all the things i didn't see..

not because i am blind// i just couldn't see her shine//

please don't hide behind the clouds// i swear i will not cry out loud..

i can see you shine// but your light is borrowed, u have always been dark inside//

she is the same// and i am to blame..

for she is the moon// and i am her sun.........

rained-on parade
Grief can take you places
where love never will;
valleys of sheets, unclasped
hands: your eyes,
an ocean of sorrow:

walking away from the shore
and into the deep blue
deeper, and farther;
I forget
I can't swim.
I love you,
like tragedy loves me.

Dreams of Sepia
4 a.m rain, don't leave me now
we've got things to talk about
like how my clocks have stopped
& the loneliness of this heartbeat
& if you ever wish you were the sun instead
& if there is an afterlife
once human souls evaporate from the earth
& I know how the grey pavement glistens
under your touch, so let me keep
that beauty for a while longer
take a walk with me
let me dance to your drum's music
this unnaturally mild November
while the neighbors sleep
& the last leaves cling to the trees
dreaming of their bygone Springs
& Innocence
