You think you’ve broken me down
that I’ll never stand again,
you think with hateful words
you’ve landed the big win.
So you think you know me…
I’m a pushover because I’m kind
don’t underestimate,
I actually have a powerful mind!
You don’t know the whole of it
and never, you truly will,
unlike you, I could never hurt another
out of hatefulness or thrill!
You are powerful with judgment
and you think you give a great show,
so go ahead, pick up that rock
give it a good hard throw!
But, remember this sweetheart
actually, it’s something you should know,
karma pays back in triple
YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW!
I’d tread a little more lightly
if I were YOU,
all that hatefulness you put out
well, eventually darlin,
that bills gonna come due!

Do you hear me today, how do I sound.
Is there softness in my voice,
A calmness to be found.
Did last night's snowfall drown my psalm,
In the chilling winds.
Should I feel wronged.
After all, I prayed so hard,
For some peace, and a little goodwill to men;
For our indulgences to come to an end.
Do I sound hoarse from being up all night?
I knelt humbly, I plead somberly,
Praised the Lord and all his sundry,
That in my lifetime or near future someday,
Peace would reign before Easter Sunday.
That's a story preached to the elders,
Unraveling back through five millennia;
Past the Cross, across Jordan,
Much deeper than the burning bush,
Back to the foot that was to crush
The head of evil.

A crack appeared in my resolve,
A fissure to release my god;
Rise from obsequiousness,
Dust off the knees and do my best
To do my part, to stop my prayer,
For I can start with peace from here.

I was trying to start
 a conversation, an education:
a way to reach the dark-hearted ignorance
and nurse it back to health in knowledge
but
my consequential words
slammed against your brick-walled brain
the china shop to your bull-
****.
Wasn't sure if I was going to post this, due to the political nature, but here it is. Sometimes all the work you put in to a well-crafted argument seems futile when pitted against an uneducated and close-minded opponent, but it is still important to try and have conversations with people who have opposing views from you. I felt like this feeling was better expressed in a poem than in an angry Facebook rant, thus this poem.

Listen! let's all hold our tongues
for a moment
the clock will stop if we do
our pens motionless above the page
qwertyuiop keybords rest untouched

still also our minds
no judgement on what's left to hear
voice of the universe OM
vibrating from toes to crown
weaving 'round and through us

connecting all living things
with earth's foundations
oceans and rocks
Listen! can you hear it?
it's a song like the introduction
from original Star Trek
taking us where we've never been before

I weaponized love, collected the
pheromones of
                        every smile.
A heart beat,
    my hands laid upon everyone.

I stole one maybe
                           two seductively,
They thought I was smitten with
there motions.
                     But I stole every petal
that had laid upon there blossoming eyes.

I will steal every happiness,
                                      that is gloated
from the hands of others
                                       to feed ego's whims.
Where they stole the reflections of others hearts.
And I slept, why they wept on lonely pillows...

Oh blind me now
To the ways of sin
So that I may bind
Myself within
Rip it out
This heart of lust
Take away it's
Conditional trust...

Deafen my senses
To unaware
Cast my shame
Into the air
Ruptured
Drowning
In guilt's despair
Bring on the numbing
Of all my cares
.....
With a bottle of beer!

thrown to the depths of my heart,
im sorry...

im sorry i couldn't find your morning kisses
from droopy eyes and tangled hands in the ocean of white sheets

im sorry i will never know what you're afraid of
what you value most in this world and bring it to you
the reasons why you love and the reasons why you hate

i can't recreate your kisses
and thats putting nails all over my skin and bleeding out slowly
i can't touch you anymore
and thats burning my hands to ashes

i cant put them back together, ash doesn't like the new structure

you wait for the right one and when the right one shows up you feel the need to run. Forrest cant beat me, i got him.

Absence doesn't always make the heart grow fonder
Sometimes it makes it forget
And what doesn't **** you doesn't always make you stronger
Sometimes it tears you apart with regret
