Heart of Silver
Close your eyes

Your world, not extending
beyond the soft quilt under
your skin, unending

Soft ripples of cloth, and picturesque seams
Nothing here but
You, me, the sky, and soft dreams

I'll reach up and take the stars from the sky
If only to lay them at your feet
to place them in your hands
to bring light into those glazed eyes
or give a glow to a world so bland

and each one would be folded
into a beautiful origami castle
I, the lord, and you, the vassal
Or perhaps me as the king
and you as a queen, whichever
My gentle playmate.. which one is better?

I'm a majestic creature of the sky
You're an empty-faced child on a quilt
Each star shall be used as a stepping stone
so I might meet you in the place I built

Let us meet, as lovers, or
at least equals
on this starry floor
And your body falls into each soft fold
It's here, right here, that I can hold
you close, keep you safe and warm
so you, from the rest of the world
I'll withhold

Consider this a "romantic poem".. but not about me! Actually, this is a story I've sort of written. :)

Hmm, let me try to describe it. A little girl living in a world all her own, a world that's nothing more than an empty quilt with an endless sky. Above her, lives a sort of "sky-creature" and he happens to be in love with her, so he builds her a castle of stars.

A breathe of words ―
a gust of thought scattered;
welling silence ruptures
bulging vault chambers
with the patience
of tongue-tied hearts

In a long deep breath
pith of soul manifests;
rich with the breathing spirit
of life that's passed

A timeworn lid spinning
on a blue glass jar
Indigenous roots
and memories tender,
perpetuity gleaned
and garnered
on fruit cellar shelves

Segues of ancient culture ―
evolution derives
from many roots
trying to catch
time in a bottle;
a travelogue
of saved beginnings;
magic beans
in a mason jar

    Life’s native seeds gathered ―
organic building blocks
the immemorial soul
of the earth sown
and reaped;
sprouting unstilted
continuum
for which
ever fleeting time
cannot hold

Love is when
Your grin is so stupid
It clenches your fists

April
A chill swept through the air-
throwing the leaves from their branches,
twirling the blades of grass,
hiding the sun from sight.

After it's retreat
a calm settled everywhere-
a silence touched the soil,
a whisper spread through the trees,
the sun shining so bright.

Nestled, low to the ground
the rabbits,
ears stretching to the sky,
peered around- only in curious wonder.

Teacher teach me how to write
a poem I so dream of beauty
so sublime that would never fade
by age, by time, evergreen
Teacher teach me the craft
that is so captivating, spellbound
so truthful to those who reads it
be inspired find the meaning
of life, learned to cry or laugh
their appetite whet
Teacher teach me the ways
that many craved of luscious
food of love to lovers of this art
and sits me by the laps of Gods
Goddesses and high priest
of poetry so as I will taste
immortality
Teacher teach me.

The life of power is so
funny that man becomes so
engrossed with such impunity
to pursue a purposeless life
full of vanity and violence
to keep their sinking ship afloat
to sail in their stormy waters
full of monsters.
Wake up now and save yourselves
from this tsunami that's going to
wipe you away from that delirious
dream of yours.
As oppressors are so blinded by greed,
even so are the ones seeking power.
Intimidation becomes their best
weapon to oppress the weak.
Their eyes blinded to the
tears of the hungry,
ears closed to the cries of the afflicted,
no mercy for the sick ones,
their hearts hardened for there's
no pity in them.
They abhorred to be corrected,
advice given are not taken
for they cannot be counselled.
Corrupted by greed,
they dip their hands deep into
the public funds kept in their custody.
The funds meant for National use
disappeared on their watch.
Yet they claimed to be innocent
of their heinous crimes,
pretending to be honest they
rob the state treasury.
Looters are they amongst themselves,
a disgrace to the service entrusted to them,
exposing their ignorance to the gullible.
Shame on you.

Can you hear the sounds of summer silence?
Listen closely, listen closely
close your eyes, let summer take over

Expose every emotion inside your heart
Transpose beautiful noises outside
Foreclose all your worries
Summer silence

Free your soul, free your soul
Be yourself, become whole again
Summer silence
Summer silence

Birds have broke the silence of summer
fly high into summer
Birds fly, birds fly

Become whole again
control, control
Summer silence
Summer silence

Can you hear the sounds of summer?
Listen, listen
Close your eyes tight
Dream, dream  until the light goes
down

Expose every emotion inside your heart
transpose a new day
Foreclose all your worries today
Transpose, transpose

Free yourself, take time to become whole
again
Enjoy the summer silence

Dont spend so much time
Pillowing the truth
That you cant tell
What you lay your head upon
When you finally
Sleep at night.
