Before my eyes
it is fading
descending
dying

A world of weakness
has burst forth
transformation
has risen

And even if I choose
to look away
and pretend
refuse to acknowledge
what is
glacial voices
will whisper
behind my back
and affirm the change

My desire
is worthless
to wish for
the blooming of flowers
and the buzzing of bees
when all has moved on
without my consent

Everything is dying
because it must
slowly
receding
until winter
covers the falling
with it's long cold embrace
and consumes it all

And my days will be
as though
May till  September
had been a perfect
flawless
fantasy

~

Simply soft, serenely so
Does fall this winter’s evening snow
Wrapped within its chilly bow
Does fall this winter’s evening snow
Petals gleam of crystal glow
Does fall this winter’s evening snow
Upon this world of white to show
Does fall this winter’s evening snow
For its beauty to bestow
Does fall this winter’s evening snow
Deep upon this earth to grow
Does fall this winter’s evening snow
Serenity of soft halo
Does fall this winter’s evening snow
Cast by winds of frigid blow
Does fall this winter’s evening snow
Resting on the ground below
Does fall this winter’s evening snow
As my heart doth love thee so
*Does fall this winter’s evening snow
Ok, I know it's repetitive...perhaps there is an echo in here. :)
it is the way of things,

while there are birds.

while you read, you will

not understand  all words,

that is the way of things, soak

those stains in washings.

then look quietly, see a new.

cellular memory, let be, and learn,

that small birds fly up.

clouds of pink hue
are in the late eve sky
which is a sure sign
that rain won't be nigh

the parched ground
is as dry as can be
without a much needed
dampening spree

low on water reserves
are the dams bores and creeks
this has been the picture
for many long weeks

would seem a moistening
isn't on the way
paddocks of despairing
endlessly display

depressing is the outlook
for those on the land
farms not blessed by the sound
of a wetting band

thunder and lightning
span the heavens above
yet their is little promise
of drops in their gloves

on the skies we keep vigil
for an inundation
which shall bring to
our hearts much elation

the bush pastures are
all in dire straights
would be good to have
an opening of flood gates
#drought  #promise  #rain

Traveler
A chilly wicked wind blows
Freezing wet consuming snow
My body shivers shakes in degrees
Her winter wonderland
Covets the trees
Fall freezes
Damning leaves
Mother nature
Not appeased

The garden
Lay wasted
Which once
Was our
Bride
Frozen bitter
Barely alive
We must gather
Our strength
To once again
Survive...

I have never been afraid of the dark woods.
But I have been afraid of the dark.
Funny, isn't it?

But there is something comforting about those trees,
they are just so familiar to me.

It's a void that I can't quite quit,
as I hang onto the dry, rough bark,
and I try to reignite my spark.

Sometimes my depression is the black water.
The water that keep you down under.
Where it suffocates you.

But I always prefer to see those dark trees,
they are just so familiar to me.

When i'm in the trees, I know I can pull through,
but I could make a huge blunder,
and I will be lost and doomed to wonder.

But at least in the water, one can see the light.
It sits at the surface just waiting for you.
But in the woods, there is no sky.

But I still like the trees,
they are familiar to me.

You may be wondering why,
i'm not bothered by the lack of blue,
well in the woods, I can take my time to become new.

I have two types of fears,
the scary, dark waters full of questions,
and the long lasting, sad, dark woods.

But I will always want those trees,
they give a sense of security.

The water tries to end me for good,
it makes my mind part of these dark obsessions,
but in the trees, I'm able to make these confessions.
Don't worry about me,
I'm in the Trees.

tree to tree limb to limb:
would it be a sight to see?
leaves ruffled
             all entwined

the two pines
           in my front yard-
laying together,
                         in the grass

      making love.

AllAtOnce
Puddles pooling on the ground
Rain falling like teardrops without a sound
It's warm one day then cold the next
I'm so sick of trying for the best
The sky is blue, then it's grey
Springtime comes then wastes away
We all want summer but I love spring
Never knowing what the next day will bring
Maybe love or maybe tears
Maybe digging up our deepest fears
Wind howling like angry shouts
Thunder clapping nice and loud
Nothing's easy but that's okay
I think it's supposed to be that way
But spring leaves like everything else
Just returning later to bring more hell
Flowers bloom beneath our feet
Drowning in the best and worst spring we've ever seen.
Kind of an analogy, but I love it.

"Once upon a time there was"
"no"
      "No"
            "NO"
"Many moons ago"
"There was a dreamer"
Who wished with all her heart,
To find the gold at the rainbows end,
She would look for clouds
Bursting
Up
High,
Her mother smiled.
"Are you still searching for that rainbows end"
"Pamela  your dreams are the clouds"
"Mummy a *** of gold I will find"
"For if you latch on to one"
"You will find yourself upon the other side""
Then one morning awoke to find a rainbow
Moving over her lawn,
Blouse,
Trousers,
Shoes
On too, she had packed a case
Encase this time did come true,
She slid down the banister
"Whoooooosh"
Through the front door,
Just as it was fading
Hands did grab hold,
She was surrounded by colours
Red,
                Orange
Yellow
                 Green
Blue
               Indigo
Violet
All were pure and bright, then with a
"Thump"
On her bottom she did land, surrounded
By beauty, plants the colours of the rainbow
"Blue leaves"
"Grass was orange"
Sky was all shades of the rainbow too,
A *** seen, gold did gleam,
Mouth wide open,
A violent fly flew in then out,
"Gross"
And she then quickly shut her mouth,
She was over the moon, the rainbow too,
She picked it up,
Lighter than she thought??
She picked one up
Put it too her mouth,
And bit,
It was squiggly in her mouth
"Gross"
Twice in two minutes,
She was
Sullen,
Grumpy,
Tears
Did cascade from little eyes,
They came out
Colours of the rainbow
Which lightened her mood,
She wiped her tears looked once, twice
Then hands upon the rainbow,
And whoosh, she landed with a
"Thump"
On next doors cow,
"MMmmmoooooo"
Went the cow,
"AAaahhhhhhh"
Went Pamela,
She ran with  a
Scare
And
Fright,
As in the distance still hearing the angry
"MMMmmoooooooooooo"
She ran to her house, opened the door,
"MUM"
"MUM"
"MUM"
With a fright her mum ran out,
"Pamela"
"My baby are you all right"
"I found the rainbow"
"I found the ***"
"I found a land of colour,"
"But the treasure wasn't right"
All said with in one breathe,
Now breath my angel,
As mother did take a coin
Opened it carefully and with the tip
Of here finger tasted it,
"MMmmmm"
So creamy, so light,
As she took her in the kitchen,
And the toaster minutes later
POPPED out,
Spreading it evenly, and eaten was
The toast crust and all,
"Mummy may I try one"
Pamela said
"Magic words my honey bear"
"Please may I try one"
And with that the toast again
POPPED out,
"MMmmmmmmm"
"My gosh mummy this tastes divine"
"You found a golden treasure that's for sure"
As they had toast each morning,
Opening a coin spreading it evenly,
"It was a taste to behold"
The treasure at the end of the rainbow,
Wasn't money, but I was something better
A taste that put a smile on faces
Every morning at *breakfast time.
