after the recent vote
for Scotland's independence
going the way
of the no advocates
David Cameron rang Buck Palace
to inform the Queen
she'd be right to keep entering the thistle and heather gates
as the Scottish people were quite happy
to see her camped at the Balmoral estate
in reply to Cameron the Queen
purred down the telephone line
which indicated to her Prime Minister
that the results of the referendum
suited her just fine

All of our politicians are a blight on our society
These self important people do possess a lack luster glow
Governing for themselves is their number one priority
Telling porkies is the way that their rhetoric doth flow

It is our misfortune to have so many of them in our halls of power
We're paying them a fortune for mismanaging government biz
Not a one of these pollies are worth a left or right bower
They should be thrown out of our parliaments and into a tizz

We're heartily sick of the whole lot of them
As they do so leave us with a feeling of contempt
Not to forget our coughs indigestion or phlegm
We so wish they were from our taxes exempt

If only we could do without this undesirable lot
Our countries would most assuredly be less on the ill side
They have a reputation as bad as a staining ink spot
And we'd be only too happy to toss them all well aside

Moaning and whinging will not relieve the constant bane
We've got to take things into our own hands
We cannot endure anymore of their burdensome strain
Government benches would be better off being rid of these bands

Acquiring a repellent to spray on them is one of my notions
Then we can relax knowing that they'll no more blight us
These thoughts are just me musing on a few suggestions
I'll leave you all to ruminate on this poetic piece thus

They're out on the hustings trying to garner a vote
They're all full of those tired old candidate quotes
They're telling us what they'll do for the electorate
Their policy platforms shall be subject to our debate

Just this week they've promised the electorate everything
Yet there is little substance to the songs they sing
The clock quickly counts down to election day
That's when us intelligent voters shall have our final say

We're sizing up the best of a bad bunch for a win
If he let's us down we'll remove his winning grin
A term in office is all he'll be receiving from us
So lets hope he's got the right motor in his bus

The rhetoric is freely flying around our state seat
Though not much of it has a well regulated beat
The candidates are all on notice at the May poll
That's when we'll see which heads will go for a roll

how benevolent
our government has been
supporting immigrants
with the taxpayer's
generous Welfare scheme
yet a percentage
of these immigrants
use the taxpayer's money
for dubious means
they travel abroad to places
where radicalism is indoctrinated
and the message
they are inculcated with
is one of killing
they fly back into our country
with their minds
full of slogans
and deadly propaganda
one of these persons
could be in any of our cities or towns
freely walking the streets
a radicalized individual
maybe known to us
he or she planning a terrorist attack
inside our continent
our taxpayer dollars
exploited for ill intent
our government has gathered intelligence
on these persons
of radical bent
their Welfare payments
are to be cut off
which shall choke off
their horrific lament

the funding for scientific research
has had a pruning of late
lab trials cannot be taken off
the government's slate

the men in the treasury office
have got their reckoning wrong
budgets mustn't be skimmed
so valuable research can prolong

discovering an effective remedy
for a diseases or ailing plight
is something that doesn't happen
at the speed of light

it takes years to develop
a drug treatment which will heal
and our medical researchers
require a better budgetary deal

a shortfall in funding
shall impair the researcher's vital work
sustain government support
is needed for them to accomplish their work

without a handsome pledge
research teeters on the edge

the carbon tax is gone
the carbon tax is gone
hey aint that good news
the carbon tax is gone

the power companies
can pass the savings on
now that the carbon tax is gone

electricity bills of late
have been too high
peaking at 18 percent
which has left little in the purse
to pay our rent

Clive and his senate colleagues
have done a jolly good thing
getting rid of that carbon tax thing
which has engendered
in the public
much irking

the carbon tax is gone
the carbon tax is gone
hey aint that good news
the carbon tax is gone

Hillary wants the top job
in Washington D C
but to give her position
would be a travesty

America had one Clinton
at the White House
does it really need
the other spouse

the oval office
can't be stained by Hillary
it took well enough
of Bill's awful villainy

a fresh outfit
is sorely sought at the place
Americans don't want
a trace of Hillary's face

to right of stage Malcolm waits
of understudy role he is tired
taking hold of the Liberal Party reins
has long by him been aspired

should the polls keep dipping
with Tony in the feature role
the Liberal party members shall call
on Malcolm to take control

within the next few months
a change of leader is on the cards
which will make the Liberal Party's
stocks better by hundreds of yards

who wants another Clinton
in the White House
to have another one
would be akin to a verminous mouse

when William Jefferson was there
he'd feel up the young interns
which bought a smell of *******
to the White House's ferns

now Hilary the old nag wants to be
the commander in chief
with her in the position
America would be bound for much grief

those persons in America
who've an iota of common sense
shall never let another Clinton
reside behind the White House fence

scandals aplenty are ever
trailing the Clinton name
as they've a reputation
for playing a most shameful game

liberal minded folk
of America
your President
is leading you
down the wrong path
he's trashed
your American constitution
which the founding fathers drew up
this document
is sacred to the 50 states
but your President
has no concept
of its valuable principles
he free wheels
and does as he pleases
without being conscience
of the collateral damage
he's inflicting
on this time honored deed
for a President
not to uphold
this document
is tantamount
to being
treasonous

Mr Abbott hasn't a snowball's chance in hell
Of getting the Senate to pass his tax sell
The numbers are stacked well against him
Passing this legislation is looking rather slim

He's been all around the country selling his pitch
But the electorate thinks its a *******
Pressure is building up in government ranks
They know they'll receive a whipping to the flanks

Opposing senators don't want a bar of the bill
Within the next few months they'll be a spill
A double dissolution election shall clear the air
That will surely sort out what is and isn't fair

The voters require utmost sanity to prevail
As they've taken enough of Abbott's rude mail
The conundrum in parliament must be attended to
For it is causing one heck of a hullabaloo

the hard up politicians down under
have given themselves a wage increase
and the taxpayer would be far happier
if this kind of thing did cease

our members of parliament
are fattening up their pay packets
we taxpayers are onto their
most unwarranted rackets

they tell us we must show some restraint
in all our pay rise requests
as the nation's cannot be held down
by these outlandish behests

yet they so love having the extra quids
put into their pay pots
while us taxpayers never get single dollar
placed into our meager plots

the politicians are great at lining
their pockets with our hard earned cash
they have no conscience
when it comes to raiding the taxpayer's stash

next year the greedy politicians
will be crying poor mouth again
and us put upon taxpayers
shall be feeling their wage rise pain

neath the party room
seismologists are monitoring
the activity
of late they've detected
a few rumblings
which can be a commencement
to an ultimate toppling
over the next while
little tremors shall be watched
to ascertain
as to whether
the leader's head
shall roll off
the chopping block
