the President posted
on Twitter to-day
a message that read
space force all the way

he wants his military
to be dominant in warfare
by equipping it with
intergalactical hardware

Donny the Washington
standout boy
has a penchant for
a futuristic whizz bang toy

but congress will be
arguing the strongest case
saying we're not
desirous of an astral base

no doubt his scheme
hasn't been well thought-out
who in their right mind
would make this tout

the cost being of a score
beyond trillions
which would bankrupt
the nation's millions

his brainwave notion
is too big of plan
for any rational thinking
woman or man

shelving this project
might just be best
so the defence department
can stay at rest

too much interference
has been extensively run
by those who hold
the kingmaker's gun

as a consequence
of this kind of thing
the democratic process
is under a clouded ring

the flow of votes
which were meant
for the out in front candidate
got subverted somewhere
in the ballot box's victory pate

foreign countries meddling
with other country's domestic autonomy
so the results of elections
will satisfy their sovereignty

transgressors are employing
their technics from nations far away
to determine who'll wear
a crowning array

an important event shall
soon take place
where two leaders will
meet face to face

the dialogue being
diplomatic in tone
whereby they'll be defending
a distinct zone

Trump and Putin
showing statesmen like skills
as they navigate the
issues with strong wills

the world anticipates
successful discussions
which won't have any
dire repercussions

their summit must reap
a dividend of accord
for not to deliver would
be serious in record

stability is the key to
good global relations
thereby ensuring cordiality
between nations

if Trump and Kim can reach an amicable agreement
it will go down in history as quite an achievement
may they temper the past language of dispute
to accomplish a calming that's so resolute

the Korean Peninsula needs men of level head
who'll bring to the region not a threatening dread
these talks they'll be taking part in
are the path toward a positive win

Singapore shall host this most sensitive event
which will determine the issues of crucial extent
with both men being unpredictable in persona
the world anticipates a concordance of corona

Many drill Trump for surrounding himself with billionaires or millionaires.
Well, he wasn't the first.
President Eisenhower and others have done it too.

Many tries to gather the best to cover their mess of conflicts.
And who's better than rich men and women that dictate orders.
He wasn't the first and in the future won't be the last.

I survived K-12 schooling
I read and researched a lot
I went to political meetings
I investigated social ***.
I met with some politicians
And then sterilized my hands.
Anyone who has ever met them
Will instantly understand.

Then an idiot ran for office
And I told myself he wouldn’t win
And that was when I wanted
The Big Do-Over to begin.
Because that idiot was picked
To be the Mutton In Chief
When it was widely known
He was a serial adulterer, liar,
Cheater, embezzler and thief.

He immediately set about
Instilling high dollar nepotism
By using his offsprings as proxies
And promulgating social schism.
He thinks he is the role model
Everyone else should follow
When someone else talks like that,
He finds them hard to swallow.

All he really wants is worship
Because he thinks he’s a god.
He doesn’t recognize he is crazy,
He can’t see his behavior as odd.
He’s the modern-day Caligula,
But he won't accept that of course,
Even though he has appointed
Crooks that are the back of a horse.

So, let’s have a do-over now!
Let's put someone trained in place
Of an overdress orangutan
With an big fat orange face.
Let’s put someone in there
That is and intelligent  human.
Oh, I have an idea, everyone.
Let’s elect to the job a woman!
I sure wish someone would put this to music!

The White House game of musical chairs continues.
Trump has once again a change of taste.
Rex Tillerson, who has been serving as his
Secretary of State, is being replaced.
The new appointee will be Mike Pompeo--
A sycophantic yes-man through and through.
Trump will soon have the cabinet he wants,
He says--in short, his loyal retinue.
Why always this constant change of heart?
Why not pick the right ones from the start?

The personal assistant to the president
Was walked off White House grounds without his jacket.
He must have done something pretty outrageous.
Take THAT political nut and try to crack it!
Serious financial crimes appeared
To be the cause of McEntee's removal.
But he now has a job on Trump's campaign;
So much he has the president's approval!
Such a move: could you call it smart,
Knowing what we know from the start?

House Republicans investigating
The Russia connection say the case is closed
Without having conducted a thorough query.
Their true motivations have been exposed.
How sad when our legislators' desires
To seek out truth and clarity are sparse,
And favoring Party over the American people,
They turn an investigation into a farce!
Republicans on the committee did their part
To sabotage the process from the start.

so far to the left
so far to the right
no common ground
found in each
others insight

the political divide
becoming an even wider
chasm
violence erupting
society gripped
by a spasm

the center position
always ignored
neither party attempting
routes unexplored

melding together
a better choice
the path ahead
of one universal voice

so far to the left
so far to the right
no common ground
found in each
others insight
A couple of weeks ago, I watched a television documentary about the divide between left and right factions of American politics. My poem is based on the theme of differences on the respective sides.

(Think Where Have All the Flowers Gone)

Where have all the assassins gone,
I'm just asking,
Where have all the hit-men gone,
It wasn't long ago.
Where have all the psychos gone,
Ones like Sirhan Sirhan,
Or a crazy red Russian,
Better still, an American.

Where have all the agencies gone,
I'm just asking,
The MI5, the CIA,
KGB, Mossad;
Where have covert actions gone,
When there's guys like crazed Kim Jong;
Or a crazed American,
A narcissistic American.

Where have all our heroes gone,
I'm just asking;
Where have all our leaders gone,
Not so long ago.
Where have all fine Presidents gone,
Obama was our last good one;
When will we ever learn,
Ego-maniacs can't govern.
Read to the melody of "Where Have All the Flowers Gone."
Enlarged and re-posted.

on the brink of war
with a real estate mogul
more famous than before
he was a child rotten to the core
off to boarding school in Baltimore
built a business from the ground floor
made a few bucks
then a few more
built a mansion on the lakeshore
next to a golf course
shot a perfect score
what more could you ask for
had a tv show
was a mentor
was a cut throat
savage like a matador
threw some money offshore
tossed a few people out the backdoor
kept his lies hidden in a trapdoor
not to certain on American folklore
or who was involved in the Crimean War
but always kept a perfect bowling score
now the state of our country is an eyesore
ran for president
dug in deep like a troubadour
this poem could wash up on the seashore
not today or tomorrow
but in a postwar
