Solitude
Solitude
Solitude
It hangs on our faces
Like the fading rose
In the garden.
Solitude
Solitude
Solitude
It sparkles in our eyes
Like the cat
Watching from the door.
Solitude
Solitude
Solitude
It sits on our lips
Like unspoken words.
Solitude

Oh! I were the breeze
To caress your blushing cheeks
And stroke your golden braid!
You would not catch me
To throw at your own choice
And I would not weep so deep!
Oh! I were the gentle rain
And you the young leaf!
I would fetch clouds
In days of summer
And you would never say,
Go away, go away
I hate you, o blissful rain!

by refusing to subtract
an hour from clocks.

All my life
I’ve endured a weight of exclusion
never the one who can
always the one who can’t
never the one with
but constant without

Standing afar
a stranger
in a whirl of happening
where my would be
never could be

The birth of desire
gifted in grief
ability almost visible
but before my hands could grasp
the thief came to steal
crushing me down

It’s time to wipe the memory
shake my head and say “no”
that I will submit and agree
to every thought declaring
“this is who you are”

This is the end
of the exclusion road
a termination for the could or would
no more stranger
wishing from afar
the negative rejected
because in these days
I truly can
and I know I will

Exclusion
where are you now?
Your mighty weight
has been discarded
from my fortified bones
the embellishment of your name
erased
from my beautiful skin
today
my revolution is real
Inspired by the realization of how my thinking had been affected, in a way 'infected' subtly laced with thoughts of ‘I can’t’.

will is willing
his body is not
thrills
  come vicariously, now.

One smile away from happy
will, is
stepping into posterity.

will is long ago,
born on the tired years of working,
his body is tired.

will, still, sees hope
on the smile of posies
who take the time
to notice.

If I gave every part of myself

I wouldn't have anything else to offer you

If I take every part of you

I will water your roots daily

If I throw my deepest love into the air

Then raindrops of forgiveness will engulf us

If I weave our love into puddles

They will rise and fall upon us on another day
A lovely feeling rest in my chest today.

We hadn't been together too long
Must have been all of a while
There was some narcotic in her laughter
Lord she had whiskey in her smile
I got so intoxicated
I got far too liquored up
and nothing goes down smoother
than a woman's smile from a velvet cup
So when I saw the chance I took the shot
Tied our hearts in a lovers knot
But we wound up in a painful spot
In a house that love forgot ...

I said you're really getting to me
She said this will **** the kids
I told her this was gonna haunt her
She told me it already did
You know one thing leads to another
Before you know it years have passed
And with the feelings all but gone now
You know the family just won't last
So when I saw the chance I took the shot
Left the house that love forgot
But I wound up in a painful spot
With my heart in a lovers knot

I am the tree,
That gave birth to the branch.
So how are it's leaves fading
While my roots are still healthy?

I nurtured the branch
And poured my life-force into it.
So how have I failed
In my job?

Where's the axe-man?
Call him to me.
For without my branch,
I am nothing
the rooks glare at him
his pawns are all dead
on his neck roars the queen
crown trembles on his head!

smells his fall the neighing knight
hangs on thread his fate
crown would go and so his might
war over the bishops trumpet!

his army of pawns are nowhere seen
the king feels so alone
his chosen war he failed to win
about time he leaves the throne!

victory at last the pieces sing
we have the king checkmate
behind the new face the same old king
readies to wear the crown’s weight!

Good morning, dear poetess,
How your words open my heart,
Awaken my mind,
Touch my soul.

Good morning, dear poetess,
How you enflame my passion,
Enlighten my thoughts,
Make me whole.

Good morning, dear poetess,
How your words encourage me,
Make my tears well,
Make my thoughts roll.

Good morning, dear poetess,
How you strengthen me,
Make me aware,
Let me reach each goal.

Good morning, dear poetess,
Thank you...
For being you...
For sharing you...
Thank you....
Thank you for your inspiration and encouragement.

We are expected to do great things
To save the world
Even when our own lungs
Heave though each breath
Like they're ******* in water
Instead of air

Know this
Sometimes it is enough
To close your eyes each night
And simply say
You made it through the day
Alive again.

In a vision, in a dream of youth I met her again
My angel, my queen, a long lost friend
I had long forgotten how she made me feel
As the aspects of this dream remained as real

She lifted her voice as the universal spirit
Harmoniously independent yet one with all who had been bit
Once bit, once alive
Upon a weary road we strive

Her young heart sang, she sang the song of love
She sang of new love, her first and true love
In the valley of the lost where perhaps I left her
Such memories of youth become a blur

As I awoke from the dream, I gathered my thoughts, my pen, my theme
I loved a girl, Penelope
I loved the girl in spite of me
Drizzling down the cold rain came
Yet somehow in my head her song remained
Some weird **** I woke up and wrote after a bad dream.
