Her onyx eyes
burn in my mind.
Black alibis
hide hidden heat.
Forbidden nights
in darkened rooms
on darkened streets.

She stills my screams
with silken thighs
in wanton dreams
on twisted sheets.
She leaves me spent
in unknown rooms
on unknown streets.

Her hunger fills.
our emptiness.
Stiletto thrills,
crescendo beat.
Two bodies move.
In hungry rooms.
On hungry streets.

It's me you're looking for
according to Lionel not
quite falsetto but at least
smooth alto unpunctuated
to give your wonder freedom
to wander and wonder
who each of us is - poems
demand so much of us
for sure hesitant English
speakers add frequently,
I noticed it first with Sven Goran Ericsson.
He would add "For sure..." to his every utterance as if expecting conformation that the way he spoke English was comprehensible.

dreams of you,
they fill my mind;
dreams of us,
our hearts entwined;
inseparable we,
this you and i,
the dream we dreamed,
us unified.
from two came three,
love multiplied;
conceived a song,
it testified;
our voices sang
their lullaby;
the how, the why
still mystifies;
your heart of love
it underlies.
here... dreams of you
still fill my mind;
i dream of us,
ever entwined.

a wonder you love me
ever grateful you do
happy Mother’s Day,
my darling wife,
today and always!!

Roger Turner - Poet
A day for celebration
of being brought into her nest
A day when everybody says
My mother is the best

But, what about the other days
we do not recognize
Is your mother still the best one
Or is all you say just lies?

They give us life
They clean us up
give us strength
when we have none
even when they ground us
is she still the bestest mom?

Even on this day of days
That we celebrate all she did
When you try to make her happy
You are still her little kid

In our house when I grew up
Mothers Day was one for Dad
When mom could have the house alone
We'd all leave and she was glad

She loves you when you are not there
She is a mentor as you age
The things she said when you were young
Now make her sound more like a sage

So, take this time to celebrate
Your mother....have a laugh
Gather up the whole fam damily
And leave mom....to have a bath!!!!

I try to take a walk, I try to close
My eyes; I try to leave behind
The things I see as lies; the ones
You see with daily eyes, but I give up;
It's just so ******* beautiful.

I try to get as drunk as Man can get,
I dream of drugs to throw my soul as
Far away from all of it and name it
****, but it's just too *******
Beautiful.

I try to burn the discs and files with
All the knowledge my father has
Collected of our history, but ****, it
Means too much to me, and it's just
So ******* beautiful.

Last week we found a paper at the
Site, from '93 and who'd believe
The thickness and the price of
Mobiles that were barely that,
Back then. I try to

Feel ashamed when my girl's youth
Is my lack thereof
But we laugh together and that just
Makes it 'nice and old' and just so
**** beautiful.

I only barely saw the seventies; the
Tiniest pants I ever wore were
Bell-bottoms.
They were so
*******
Beautiful.

I hear the ocean make music
Like the rustling of autumn leaves
The sound of them gently rubbing
As she swept my heart like a wind

Singing every word she breathes
Upon a haystack full of needles
With no rhymes, nor pauses
Neither masquerading riddles

Simple and unassuming
She is a beautiful mess
My heart keeps swooning
But I couldn’t care less

Her flaws are fascinating
Like ribbons on her sleeves
Her charm is perfume
Her name is a spell

A graceful soul I see
Inside a feeble shell
To me she’s one and only
And that I can tell

My heartbeat thunders
And chased her nightmares
Like aquamarine
Calm and serene

A thousand, ten thousand words
Isn’t enough to create one phrase
But surely, I wrote a love song for two
Must I recalibrate, I can’t undo

Love is buoyant
It keeps afloat
Even in turbulence
The hearts don’t sink
We may cry oceans
But remember
Love is buoyant
Novice swimmers
Also keep afloat
Tragedy may strike
Upheavals of waves
May pull us down
Yet, we survive
Love is buoyant*

betterdays
on our after afternoon
ramble
we marvel at the beauty
of the autumn trees

their leaves show such
glory in their dying days
before they fall
and wither away....

i could give you colours
ten shades each of green, golden, amber, russet, brown.
but my words would be
a paltry insult to the wonder
of the falling crown

soon the trees will be stark
and bare.....sculptures against the blue and pewter
sky..

but my good god, you taught
them well, the art of an awe inspiring goodbye.

Meenu Syriac
Patronizing our morality
We live out lives in pretence and lies.
Our judgment shallow
And receding in wisdom.
Slaves to a system ruled by our fears
Blind to affliction and silent to tears.
Severe addiction to false promises
Prey to a bureaucracy feeding off our dreams.
Divide, rule, **** and procure
Reveling in madness our minds create.

Hard to dream of flush green meadows
Blue skies and quiet days,
Where the songbirds can sing their ode
And daisies are but plastic
That bow to the sun in awe and wonder.
I dream of a day when you and I
Can hold hands rather than rage wars,
Where money is not out ruler
And our morality outweighs the vice,
Where humanity is raised by selfless deeds
And peace is a language of our hearts.

I want to get drunk
Off the champagne
In your kiss.
I want to get high
Off the sparks
In your smile.
I want to overdose
On the sweetness
Of your love.
I know you're bad
And you're bad for me.
But I want you
Nonetheless.
I want you
Not for your beauty
But for your brains.
For the way you walk
Like raindrops fall
And leave my heart
Beating like a drum
In perfect time with yours.
I want you for me
And for the music
We make when we're together.
I know you're bad for me
But I know you're good for me,
Nonetheless.
