The light fills the empty hole in my chest.
Washing the ugly , the clawing evil dark held.
I'm a man. Not pure. Not good.
Just becoming honest.
The light is of miracles as our love.
A oracle talking in my dream, speaking to the dumb.
My heart fills without my doing.
Shining, burning hot.
I am born.

You wake and the walls are close
desperate for air, freedom and a breeze.
know it's ok, that you have a place to sleep.
some have nothing in this world, many have no close walls.
sometimes things workout for you, you just need to see them.

have faith, have hope.

Mother nature, mother us
hold us in your embrace
I'm so ashamed that I can't even
look you in the face.
You've always provided everything
all that we could need.
And yet we seem to strip you bare
to satisfy our greed.
I wonder how you take it all
and then I stop to think...........
that you're not only here for man
you're here for everything.
So when the final breath is drawn
from mankinds choking chest.
I hope that you replenish
and look after all thats left.
Maybe we might make it
I guess only time will tell.
But if we dont its not your fault
Mother,
I wish you well.

“Well she's walking through the clouds”

Little wings keep her upright
as she strolls through the sunrise
now brightly glowing within my heart,
blind to my feelings

“With a circus mind that's running wild”

Beneath azure tents of atmosphere,
smiling at another perfect day in her world
While tame white tigers
roar on cue

“Butterflies and zebras”

Watercolor happiness fills her eyes
as she chases the beauty that is her nature,
caressing all that she touches
with the wonder that is her essence

“And moonbeams and fairy tales”

Moonbeams, something lost in my imagination
and once upon a times, when poppies and dandelions sing
the saddest of songs for my desires
flood in a downpour of dreams not realized

“That's all she ever thinks about”

While frolicking childlike atop cotton candy visions
never once looking my way,
finding this love I hold so gently,
only for her

“Riding with the wind”

On whispered breezes she disappears
as day drinks of twilight
and weary eyes find star light harsh…I sleep,
waiting for the new day, waiting for her…once again
Written with the help of the lyrics from the Sting or Jimi Hendrix classic, "Little Wing". Which ever you prefer.

~

Around the world I search for you
Before the sun does rise
Creating such a wondrous view
Debuted for my eyes

Each moment that I come to share
Facing towards the east
Grabbing hold of everything
However I may see

Insisting that you take my hand
Joining in the song
Knowing you will understand
Listening all along

Many times I want to cry
Nothing seems to ease
Others tend to wander by
Pretending to appease

Quietly I search for you
Reaching for a star
Stating but my point of view
Taking it too far

Understand the way I feel
Verify the lot
When will all of this be real
X does mark the spot

You alone do take my heart
Zero hour they say
In this poem you will find
I love you starts with A

Remembering
the sandcastle we built

Remembering
I hate high tide

The twinkles in the night skies
Is what I see in her majestic eyes
Whites of her teeth of which I'm swoon
As bright as a gracious midnight moon

A soul of pixie sparkling dust
The warming aura deep I trust
A heart so strong, hauls me along
The thumping of a deep love song

So many misinterpreted metaphors
make me cringe
''are you trying to ruin poetry for everyone''
but I hide my damp eyes behind my fringe
because I mustn't argue and my teachers are never wrong
They sing without a meaning or lyric in their song
we are taught to write what they want to hear
not the truth we feel inside our hopes and fears

But i must turn the other cheek
to get my degree I need..when home I ponder, I weep
because it was the school that killed poetry
for many of my peers..
But all is not lost..wipe away those tears
Grab the pen that feels ethical
the paper that doesn't deceive, doesn't lie
and write a poem that you can feel
you'll get out of school alive
(You know who you are who started this haha!)..Don't get me wrong I love teachers in general..I plan on becoming an awesome one someday too :)

After a long night last thursday
With my limbs touching the water of the salty sea
My body lying on the wetty softy sand
Hearing nothing just the waves and your voice
Spending hours hearing that mixture
Your voice and the waves
Or to be more realistic
The singer and the song
After that night, that long night
I started feeling you everywhere
I felt you beside my brain going down to my heart
I felt you racing my red blood
Running between my small parts
I felt you standing there inside my mind
Checking on every thought and fixing what you didn't like
I felt you in my eyes, in my ears
I felt you and felt you and felt you
Until I started feeling nothing other than you

After a long perfect night last thursday
I knew that you owned even the breath out of me.
