It is not the nature of things or people to satisfy us,
but to awaken in us the desire to be satisfied.
For all of this Earth’s wonder and beauty and mystery,
it's only meant to serve as a great cosmic magnet
pulling us to our Source. May every scent and song,
every shadow and sorrow move us ever closer to Him.
"'Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to Me, and eat what is good,
and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.
Give ear and come to Me;
listen, that you may live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
My faithful love promised to David...'
Seek the LORD while He may be found;
call on Him while He is near...
You will go out in joy
and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and hills
will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field
will clap their hands."

here begins real love—
longing for you to love God
more than you love me
"We love, because He first loved us."

The Poetic Nicole
she kept her death
within her breath,
she joined the destruction
with its half seduction.
until she fell in love with
its obstruction.

Traveller in time
There was once a small sapling living in a wood,
man cut him down ,
dressed him in  balbuls and lights,
the best he could. And so the  birds that didnt give out song ,
or move ,
just perched ,
or sometimes fell from his branches,
were forgotten a long long time ago .

His new family made him feel special,
with gifts around his trunk ,
and for a season ,
for that is all it was ,
seemed nice.         çvvvvvv       v   v
His  new family ,happy
until they got drunk !

But late at night when left all alone , when his lights were off ,
and everything was dark  ,
and cold.
He looked out of his window  ,
brought a tear to his eye .
For tall and elegant trees ,
did he see all waving to him in the breeze ,
as if to say goodbye.

Cut down ,
not fully grown,
away from his saplings ,
all alone .
He pined  for the days before man came ,
torn down ,
dumped he lay  ,
awaiting the council trash cart ,
for today was dumpsvillie  day .

I'd pull up in an old white Chevrolet,
promptly placed in park.
Stepping out to see your brilliance,
your face as pure as your heart.

I'd rush around the car,
run to sweet embrace.
Eye locked with eye,
putting lovers in their place.

I'd stumble for the handle,
to open up your door,
Peering through the window,
The keys are on the floor!

I'd turn around to tell you,
to see your smirking snare.
I'd ask you what's so funny?
You'd say, "I have a spare!"

In my mind I paint a picture,
there is no Chevrolet.
but as for that fair beauty,
perhaps I'll find her today.

When black and white turn to gray,
Left and right lose their way
In the drab they lose direction,
Stalled at the intersection,
There we ponder which is best.
North?
South?
East, or West?
How many tolls must we pay?
Which is best?
It’s wrong to say,
Don’t ask
Don’t tell
That’s the code,
Common law,
No king of this road
Just a queen with no where to be,
Hail her royal majesty
