AJ
I am beautiful,
And I am life consuming.

I am a wild night,
With tequila
And **** strangers
And uncomfortable
Heels and Lingerie.
Loud music,
Sweat and kisses and mystery.

I am a lazy morning.
Cartoons and pancakes,
Large cup of coffee
And the front page of a newspaper.

I am ***.
I am chocolate.
I am electricity.
I am a weak pulse,
And strong urges.

I am a princess.
I am unstoppable.

Don't get comfortable.
I'll make you squirm.

b for short
It’s a marvel—
how the human heart
can continue to want that same something
that so willingly smashed it to a thousand pieces.
It’s a wonder how it still beats
as it watches that something
meticulously plaster each of those
one thousand fragments onto its
mural of damaged conquests.

But the heart is in good company, I guess.
At least its own pieces have a commonality
with its surrounding neighborly shards.
Together they can be sharp and exude mystery—
no longer desired to be touched or examined
by the pairs of eyes that closely study their edges.

That something? He steps back.
With a grin ear to ear, he
enjoys the whole of his piecemeal creation.
With his beautiful hands,
he forces all of them to fit together,
Reminiscing as he watches them dry,
cementing them to memory,
telling his tales of pushes and pulls,
of warmth and chills.
Damage, his only true medium,
he finds much easier to manipulate than oils or pastels,
and that something, he is a master of his craft.

He contorts each of us into his own work of art,
fixed for the public eye with sticky regret
and dried by the countless nights of cold wonder.
And we wait, patiently, until his craftsmanship folds.
Until the plaster chips and crumbles.
Each of our pieces falling to the ground
in the hopes that someone will
pick us up, pocket us,
and appreciate the sullen beauty
in something that once was whole.

*1
Wet welling from earth
Deep valleys, hills, sweating *******
I plunge into her

2
We are lost at sea
In moonless night our soft cries
Curled waves drowning us

3
Above her in bed
Little breaths lifting our bodies
Eyes, fingers, dreaming

4
Her green eyes are set
Jewels from sargasso seas
My ghost ship is wrecked

5
Her long hair tangles
No struggle in rising— then
We are rapt in bed

6
Her eyes blinding me
Milky way of her body
There is a heaven

7
In forest we taste
Each other in evergreens
Hot dews on the moss

8
Blissful time kissing
My bare thighs sink into hers
Running sands so quick

9
As olive or grape
So shed, paired souls are threshed
Out of their bodies

10
Hummingbirds share truths
Nature sounds with all sweetness
Bee in the flower

11
Always in a field
Wild flowers— a bunch to pick
Herself a bouquet

12
In the park we walk
Flocks of white birds taking flight
Two hearts light as air

13
We kissed under moon
Pox of stars grew flowering
Nightshade of her lips

14
She took me to bed
Skinned in bliss— was reborn, lost
In her satin folds
He inundated me with an ocean of kisses
reflecting all back in the middle
mmmmm kisses stretching into my desires
with waves of kisses elevated by our LUSTFUL touches. ..
Kisses are my sanity
kisses from you make me melt
into your waiting arms
give me your kisses.

every moment she gave me
just a kiss away
each new yearning and pleasure
swimming in her eyes, dancing upon her tender lips
begging to be adored
her kisses are my reckless abandon
such tender mercies of sanity and calm combined
if this is madness, let me lose my mind
pray, kiss me crazy...if you're so inclined

Kisses painted silver and gold from your mouth to mine
kissing in the hues of ecstasy elevated
melting into our canvas in the heat of May
framed by your special kisses in the dark depth of my soul
captured forever in the bristles of our lust*

kissing casual and flirtatious
kissing sensual and salacious
kiss my soul with your fondest wishes
kiss you where you're most delicious
lover, shall i linger there?
kiss your treasures with loving lips and tongue
drink down your nectar when you come undone
and revel and slather in the love we have spun
a real honor and a sheer pleasure
to collaborate with the very talented and gifted
Wolf spirit aka quinfinn
thank you! I had so much fun writing this with you...

the first time our eyes met
possibilities filled my heart
you smiled at me softly
i could feel that spark

the first time our hearts met
you made my still blood flow
we stayed up late, just talking
about things we didn't know

the first time our skin met
the warmth then filled my veins
we started a fire together
making love in the rain

.
.
.

the first time our egos met
the collision took it's toll
we got lost in the explosion
where did our pieces go?

.
.
.

the last time our eyes met
you were driving away
you looked toward me blankly
with nothing left to say

South-by-Southwest
She entered through the back bedroom window .
She said she had my key
When I foolishly asked her
"Why you crossexamining me ?"

I dropped out of the University
I got myself a steady job
Working part time on the weekends
It had benefits without the friends

Then I spent the coldest winter
Without any heat or bread
I microwaved Idaho potatoes
They called me "Tater Head"

Now didn't anybody see
Now was there anyone who cared
Sunday was just another Monday
When is a rabbit not a hare ?

Well I found myself another girlfriend
I was sure now of her honesty
I came home from work one evening
To find my microwave wasn't there

Now I could have sat down and cried
But I never had a chair
Just some cushions on the floor
Hot and cold roaches everywhere

Now the future was looking bleak
Winter turned to spring you see
A thunderstorm turned tornadic
Took my apartment away from me

Didn't anybody see
I'm sure that nobody cared
Sunday turned into a Monday
All I said was,"So there" . . . oh , my .

she liked the way he drank straight whiskey
he liked the way she would dance
he said "darlin, if i died would you miss me?"
she said, "I am willing to take that chance"

she said, "honey, life is just a party"
he said "baby, i love your skirt"
she jumped on the back of his harley
she said, "let's live it for all it's worth"

he was doing 90, and still had throttle
she had her arms around him, tight
he said "i'm not worried about tomorrow"
"as long as we have tonight"

b for short
Cloudy days make me
feel like I’d be better off
thinking and feeling with dispassion—
stripping all of those bright and buzzing inklings
down to their logical black and white bones.
Colorless, I stare at what’s left of them—
dull pencil lines and some ***** eraser dust.
Nothing to build on, nothing to respond to.
There’s nothing left which stirs under my skin.
Now, just this empty notion someone put here.
I don’t like it or trust it.
I can’t make sense of it.
Only a familiar voice assuring me
“it’s better this way.”

The smells of our ***
linger behind my dead eyes
as your milky skin
curdles under my
poisonous breath.
