And so
I've patterned
Myself after a
Robin
All fluttery

Times tough
In the trees
Shrubbery
And worm
Catching biz

Got a nest
To build
By spring
You see
Only so
Many feathers
To wit

So treacherous
The sky
Has become
Busy with
Stealing mockingbirds
Titmouses a stray
Blue ******* jay
Amiss

Then all
Done with a home
A lazy cowbird
Comes
Lays her egg
Amongst my own
Goes wandering
Away

And I like
robins do coo
And caw at
Early mornings
Do
Feed the orphans
The deranged

Then when
This nest
Is overflowing
With upturned
Beaks all
Calling for
Worms for sustenance
I make do
With what
I catch
Or borrow
Or steal

Just ******* coo
And when this isn't sufficient.  I lie.

the unwritten note
Life is so unpredictable. When you finally feel all is right, when you finally try to move on. Life is there again, set as a jigsaw puzzle. Some pieces just lying there, other hidden somewhere. And you have to set down again, trying to find the misplaced ones.
trying to put back the pieces

Imagining when she used to fill it
Up with dandelions and greens
Set it the middle of the dining room table she bought
Same old thrift store she got
The flower covered vase from
And the old yellowed tablecloth
And it was always filled
With whatever wildflower or **** she could pick
And it signified in a way
Our love and dedication
How though poor we were so rich
And I appreciated then.
The tablecloth is put up
The vase sits empty.
The yard is filled with dandelions
And blooming clover
Lush greens growing wild.
Just like my heart.

Cné

Hanging like a scimitar
suspended in the sky,
the moon beside a gleaming star
is pleasing to the eye.
How desolate, this satellite
in airless ebon space
and yet, from here
‘tis beautiful
filagree & lace.

King Panda
girl smudged with
full-zinc expression
and paper feathers—
I wonder what
you think about

your gaze
bathes hot in mind’s basin
as a pink rose skips
the wind across
your clothed table

the trees laurelled above—
so indistinct and stamped
with war-zone bleakness

so painful, your expression
as you take your cup and sip
the daytime-soothe

I look at you one last time—
squint my eyes
and put my thumb over your tiny face
to mark you as my own

the wallflower
Everyday is always the same
The clocks never seem to change
I have trapped myself inside
A purley psychotic paradise

Clad in red , i lay dead roses on mommas grave
I think the doctors killed her because she was going insane
And whenever someone accidentally touches me , it rarely happens
They run away screaming , acting like paranoia is radioactive

And it makes me sad to have no friends worthy to ****
Constantly offering dead poppies and drooping daffodils
They help replenish the empty void im trying to fill
But what needs to be refilled is my bottle of antipsychotic ****** bin pills

So when i skip through town hearing people spewing wrath
I run into a man accidentally blocking his path
He is the only person who hasn't looked at me like an infected rat
And the handsome man smiles and says " Your a beautiful psychopath"
some of the greatest lessons were taught through madness

What other kind              of creature could divide
Each different thing             into its different sides
With chaos versus             order, dark and light
The stark duality of         wrong and right
We even split the very        world in two
With human versus human,       we and you
But still no matter how much      we divide
Each thing has infinitely many      sides

Such madness sought for reasons
Old the stories heard
At mother's knee once
A kind of breed the songstress
Sings once told
Oh sadness longs to be brought
Forth be strung on chords
Echoes from the mountain tops
Once inspected felt the dreams
Try to break through reality
Cause men to bow
And women weep
For what end
We do not know
Just feelings come
And will not go
Till sung
Wrote or spoken
Well
Crazy is another
