Deep in the cellars where dank slime thrives
all things dark and dreadful;
the creature creeps along on its belly.

A mouth to devour and to condemn;
the howling of a man gone mad.

Face to face with a tortured mind
and a heart shrivelled of love.

Into the depth of depravity
down the steps to bring Adam up
out the dark into light, the God of love.

When all alone,
Be oxymoronic;
Focus on all,
Not alone.
We're never alone.

while many settled down
I roamed wild seemingly aimless
but deep was my path hidden from view
- the poets heart flowering on a far horizon.

a quiet determination
to not sell out
is all I ever had.

Forgive me Father, for I have sinned.
It seems the morality of the world has thinned,
and it's hard for me to differentiate
how to be good, and how to be great.

There's so much bad stuff swirling around,
and unfortunately, as I have found,
it's so easy to get swept up by society,
and so easy to be remiss in one's piety.

I long to be a better person.
I don't want to just worsen and worsen.
Can you help me be a saint?
Make me in your image, the way only an artist can paint.

I just need your guidance and your aid,
I need to have more confidence in the me that you made.
Because if I stare really hard right into a mirror,
There's a person I'm becoming, and frankly, I fear her.

Help me to be in the world and not of it.
Help me to embrace my true self and love it.
And in the face of the world's ignorant braying,
help me to just keep on loving and praying.

Empty pages.

Fill them
With faith.

Fill them
With hope.

Fill them
With Love.

Eternity,
Looking at a thread of Time,
Examined Earth,
Considered its conception,
Traced its trajectory,
Ignored the dire prognosis,
Opened its Heart to send
New Life through a ******.

God knows love is enough to move mountains
He has had a lot of practise,
your part is to have a little faith in love.

concentration is a flux, hard to hold like mercury
slips through the mind and disappears somewhere
deep. Takes on a life of its own, concentrates in
a daydream, a universal story of love and hate.
The why and wherefore of our race, apes that are
finger painting walls, learning to write, painting
pictures with words, trying to understand and to
be understood, to stop wars, hold up love in a chalice,
bitter and sweet, make peace happen, everywhere at
once, without exception, change war mongering into
love, even one inch, one millimetre, one fleeting moment.

its a beautiful beginning
with a tragic end
and an out of this world final twist.

there's a dead man who sits in the corner of the room and sings everyday
he looks kind of familiar, but I'm not sure
he looks kind of happy, kind of in love, kind of free
I watch him everyday, and listen to him sing
he ain't bad, I can tell by his smile, but he ain't good either
but he keeps on singing, Alleluia, and points at the man in the mirror.
