It is not by sight but by faith that you be able to predict the fortunes of your future
Likewise, it is not by charm but by favor that you be able to walk out of a fatal accident alive

It is not by choice but by design that only queens be able to bear the weight of the crown
And it is not by pride but by bravery that one is able to cover up the brokenness of their heart

Like an ***** addict
I was addicted to your eyes
Eyes which did spark
Spark like clusters of stars
On a moonless night

Like an ***** addict
I was addicted to the luster
The luster about your skin
A skin pale unblemished
Gaily yet opalescent as an opal

Like an ***** addict
I was addicted to your lips
Lips so sweet as nectar
Nectar distilled from
All flowers of heaven

Like an ***** addict
I was addicted to your voice
A voice so fresh
And euphonious like
Whispers of a nightingale

But most of all

Like an ***** addict
I was addicted to your love
A love so indelible to me
Love that had me glance
Past beyond

Atop the stars

No agony is greater than the yoke
Men fastened round my love
Her lines they bounded with metres
Her flow they have blocked with patterns and rhymes
Her end they constrain with rules
I crave the freedom to paint her as I deem fit
She's born of my thoughts and feelings
Sorrow would be less so
If there were rules to grieving
I'm breaking her rules

I came only to watch one person eyes open and peeled.
The Blonde Bombshell was her name and O, what power did she wield!
One look and the explosion of her beauty could soften any heart of steel.
I knew nothing of softball besides the name,
but the blonde pitcher inspired me to change my game.
As I watched she seemed nervous on the softball mound.
Her first few pitches practically never left the ground.
The game continued and she pitched better in each inning.
Each throw as beautiful as she was and secured her team in winning.
She looked more confident as she began to smile.
Sending each batter back to the bench crying like a child.
As I prepared to leave I waved my farewell.
To a blonde beauty who looked and pitched exceptionally and gracefully well.

Your words flourish like a flower before my eyes
Oh, poet, dear poet, is there an end to the sweetness you bring forth
Now share those endless rhymes with me
Let the essence of your heart through your words live on in my head forever
I've been reading some awesome poems on here and they inspired this spontaneous piece. This is dedicated to all the poets on this site. Keep writing!

She captured me in her sexiness with her gravitational pull
Her gravitational pull tugs at my essences
The heat she emit would make Satan sweat
Her earth tone skin have men erupting like volcanoes
With a smile as bright as the sun that warms my heart you chase away the sorrow that clouds my life
With skin that rivals the marvels of the universe time itself stands still and take notice
With the moon for your crown and the earth for your throne you give a whole new meaning to the title Ms. Universe.

She is God's greatest creation
A sculpture of pure genius for man to marvel at
A living portrait art made flesh painted across the canvas of the world
Hues of brown
Strokes of red
Dabs of yellow
Dipping his brush in the fabric of space creating the first Ms. Universe.

Only good can come of this,
I’m sure.
How you love me Lord,
I can't explain,
I love you but my life isn't enough evidence Lord,
Be the centre of my life,
I want to love you as much as I did when I first received you oh Lord,
Awaken my zeal for your word,
Make me thirst for your presence Lord,
I'm empty without you,
I'm lost and I'm nothing Lord,
Jesus be in my heart,
Rekindle our relationship.
You're the only lover I have Lord,
Thank you for loving me despite my faults.

Those who feel it don't want it
Those who want it can't feel it
There lies the balance
Within the wheel of chance
