Bill the bard was talking to me to-day
Our chat did center on sonnet writing
He said I should pen something exciting
So a poem of that ilk I'll now display
A new talent was unearthed last night
On the seven television station
She received a rousing ovation
Her future in entertainment looks bright
A recording contract is on the books
She'll be a singer who'll have many smash hits
Her excellent voice can reach high notes
As well as that she has the most classy looks
Bill and I shall enjoy many newsy tidbits
Telling of her career anecdotes

She'll receive a reception of disdain
In a month her freezing winds shall arrive
The thermometer taking a big dive
We'll be captive to her very cold refrain
Winter's unwelcome vetch o'er our land mass
The countryside touched by her iciness
For she is a very bitter gelid lass
We'll stay inside to shelter from her lash
No warming sunlight rays within our sight
Many hours of her severe frigid morass
Everything yokes in a nasty sash
The season of winter shall not delight

she wrote a sonnet but she got it wrong
proper syllable count her lines ne'er had
twas a most shocking sight really quite bad
her shabby work had a distinct kind of pong
she put it out there for all to peruse
the skilled sonnet writers had a look
her display they rated as verily crook
the format of it did of her confuse
she had not a spruce quill like the bard Bill
her specimen would have disgusted him
particular was he about his form
she produced a sonnet which didn't thrill
its appearance was so exceedingly grim
her syllable patterns were not uniform

the French palate doth enjoy a little horse
a batch of it hath been recognized
their meat products ill categorized
consuming countries seeking some recourse
a mix up at the meat supplier's end
hath drawn many persons to keenly question
the thoroughness of factory inspection
bovine and equine meats differ in blend
the affair hath been verily upsetting
those who didn't follow with consistency
now have a smattering of egg on face
the episode is most embarrassing
food items should guarantee authenticity
once they're on the market they cause disgrace

O'er the South landscape a force did attack
Whipping winds thrashed furiously about
Buildings were smashed down by the great thwack
Angrily the tornado voiced its tout
People cowered neath protective cover
The skies were tinged in a grey green rage
Twas like a roaring train passing over
The ghastly scene was of utter carnage
Driving rains fell they added more insult
Oklahoma's South witnessed devastation
Nature had reeked an awful assault
A twister caused so much destruction
The tornado was of powerfulness
All in its path under extreme duress

On a distant shore thy love doth reside
Thy heart ever sings with much happiness
Never shall thy feelings for him subside
He's bought into thy life true gleefulness
Yet we're located in different lands
Thy can dream of his wonderful embrace
So too the tender touches of his hands
Should the stars align with favor and grace
We'll be together in a glad accord
Thy shall ever love him indeed thy will
He makes thy soul sing a lovely chord
Though he's on the coast and thy on a hill
Miles can be bridged by a rainbow
Thy sweet love for him doth endlessly grow

Here in exile thy is separated
Thy kin folk shall see not a sight of me
Ousted from thy friends not feeling sated
Another door hath been opened for me
Others took this wretch into their welcome fold
Thy cast to the winds of segregation
Treading a path on a road so very cold
Thy must suffer in vast alienation
With hopes of returning back to kin
Thy outlook is uncertain this is so
Will their arms accept the one of much sin
All is in the air maybe the signs say no
Thy ruminates on the outer border
Shall past friends give thy an entry order

Follow me to a paradise not many have seen before
a kind that welcomes newcomers with its natural allure
Step through the iron gate with me, witness a scene like Arden
and feel the awe that comes with seeing my beloved secret garden
The vines will greet you as you enter, brushing your skin as you come
Blossoms will turn toward you as if you were as warm as the sun
Cacti will hunger and thirst for your kind and gentle touch
as if they've lived in the desert and it all became too much
But one must not relish in this beauty for too long
because anything abused past its use is just simply wrong
The vines will constrict you, you'll burn as hot as the sun
and suffer of constant ****** from the cacti you once loved
So, with this I warn you before you enter my piece of Eden
that this grace comes with a price as you begin to weaken
Deceiving things

Let's go and make the unconscious known,
shed everlasting light on what's been shown
to our hungry eyes and thirsting limbs
exposed to so much, but getting lost within
What we see is not what we see,
but what is remembered can be perceived
So take the time to actually look
and let go of the advantage that we all took
Experience the wrinkles and cracks in the bark
Crouch to the footprints one left to embark
Describe the budding petal breaking through
the soil in which led it to you
Listen to the rustling of the fox
and feel comfort of this conscious lock
Do the everyday experiences actually happen if they live in unconsciousness?

May you be granted the mercy you seek
During this hard time, becoming so bleak.
You always deserved this chance not given;
For quite some time now, you've been imprisoned

Within this cramped abode with company
Not exactly what you'd think as dandy.
You have every right to venture towards
Prosperous treasures on faraway shores.

Though your many efforts might sometimes fail,
You must continue with setting your sail!
You can't just give up, you've not reached the end:
You never know what lies around the bend!

You're much too stubborn to stop now, my dear...
You've come this far, you have nothing to fear!

Schizophrenia is a private cell
Reserved for just one in the depths of Hell,
A place without an exact location,
A damnation found in desperation

For an escape from feeling trapped inside
The spot you sought refuge and tried to hide
From vicious voices, all disembodied.
Solitude's precious, but also oddly

Does enough to make you feel too alone.
Perhaps you'll miss some voice's monotone
Droning that lectured, but still seemed to care,
Though some of those voices wrought your despair.

You mustn't forget some voices are real,
And yet, those can often cause your ordeals.
I'm not exactly aiming to romanticize this debilitating illness. I'm a sufferer of it, and was hoping to convey how I experience part of it. I don't mind anyone writing about it, but I seriously don't understand why some people think they want it. I can absolutely assure you it's nothing but a living nightmare that can last a lifetime. To desire such horrendous atrocities for yourself is a sign that you're seriously misguided.

Stormin' winds that blow away the lot,
My heart drifts right and left swirlin' lone,
Your eyes full of spark and radiant hot,
Sting my soul and erupts a loud mourn,
In the depth of your eyes I drown,
Lay out and collect my yearnin' arouse,
I feel myself sinkin' deeper and down,
Because you drive me crazy in carouse,
The curves and edges of my heart,
Blood drippin' and gushin' furiously through,
The streamin' blood flows in every part,
Leavin' my frail and withered heart for you,
Pleadin' for your love and bewitchin' soul,
Fillin' up your spacious and vacant hole.
Finally wrote one :)

The blackened mirror hangs on the wall
and whispers my name with a soft call
Like the wind, it rustles my brain,
its hauntingly familiar voice I distain
"Come and see what lies within,
what's bound to come and what's already been,
but when you look you can't forget,
'cause what is seen will then be set."
I shield my eyes in fear alone
'cause I don't want this set in stone
but hunger for truth boiled deep inside
and spilled across this body of mine
I saw the darkest part of you
and realized there's nothing I can do
