No, she isn't a poet
has never inked one
she takes off my weight
gets my things done

so I have enough time
to afford in a way
the luxury of rhyme
clever wordplay!

No, she isn't a poet
not written one line
clean is her slate
sees I'm fine

so I have enough space
and hour of my own
to indulge the grace
of thoughts mind grown!

No, she isn't a poet
no way she would be
she does her best
to see I'm happy

so my words run smooth
poems are easy born
truth and half truth
are spun night and morn!

No, she isn't a poet
cares not a bit
from her toil's sweat
my poems birth sweet

poems aren't her art
in the sun and showers
she grows from her heart
our garden's best flowers!
A tribute to the great gardener she is.
(5 years on hp this day, thanks to all my poet friends, you gifted me a rewarding journey)

When light shines upon my body in a warm day

I close my eyes and let the wind sway

Guided by the gentle breeze following the sound of flowers and leaves.

When I go out of my shade, my worries and fears begin to fade

Above the sun’s nurture I co-exist in peace

As I realise this feeling will cease, I await for another moment in summer to repeat.
This is what I felt writing about when I was outside. I hope you like it!

I was walking
Alone in a gloomy
Wet streets
I was lost
Wandering where
I should step
One wrong move
I am dead
But someone touch my soul
On the moment I felt like dying
I fall apart
You pick me up
I can't escape the dark
But you were by my side
I can feel you
You lead me to
The right path
You are my searchlight
You light up my shadowy night
You save me from foolishness
I saw the way
The way out
I escaped with you.
I love you
I am inloveee

The sight of rain,
of wet clothes, wet plants,
wet doorsteps, wet hopes and dreams,
and, that known scent of sadness and grief
all these...create soggy, sluggish minds

we just lost two dogs to the virus
the glum of monsoon rains affects the moods
the "yays" from cancelled classes
have all passed...
sun is shining, not too bright, though,
peeps like a tease, but,
enough to dry the ground...

i see vacant lots...almost naked now
motor's droning hum is a lullaby
that lulls the mind
a strong smell stirs the nostrils and
defines a welcome pleasance...
i sniff....and chase away sadness,
with this intriguing scent
.....of freshly cut grass....

The pile is ever ready
whatever type of music we dig...a ditty,
old songs, contemporary...all in a jiffy,
instruments will be playing
words, vocalizing all feelings
maybe, a song of calm
coming before, or after the storm...
.....
Notes hover above the piled 45s
look closely...find your desired jive,
let's find our favorite tunes
and take turns in  dropping coins,
record is pulled out...shortly, our song will play
hold disruptive elements at bay
because..you and i, we're gonna sway
as a full moon....rises from the bay
.....
allow our feelings to speak
while we're cheek to cheek,
as much as we want, we may croon,
after we dance, maybe we'll swoon
the world is ours...we'll be alright
"there'll be...no more lonely nights!"
.....

(recapturing memories of the
jukebox...it's a feel good poem,
esp. when paired with Paul McCartney's
  No More Lonely Nights...)
Don't ever get down at Remount Road
on the train's brief pause.

Once I couldn't resist
when through the window
I can't say what beckoned me.

The sky after a drizzle was awashed blue
and its miniature carvings on the puddles
sprung from my steps like thousand dreams.

There on the unshaded platform
were faces as puzzled as mine.

I didn't intend to detrain here, I spoke,
we didn't too, the voices echoed
but it felt so like the place
we wanted to be but missed.

Walk me barefoot on the sodden earth,
a girl offered her hand,
recount to me the unfinished stories,
make me a home.

I won't miss this time,
I was crying.

I have recounted the story to many
but they all have eyed me
like I am mad.

They only repeat there's no Remount Road
on this route.

We needed the walls in our lives to break, we needed the people in our lives to be permanent, we needed the ocean with us on our journey, we needed a path for nature to be rediscovered, we needed love to be able to get recognition, we needed more than just to be tagged along like a place to paste the scars of graffiti, we needed this crazy thing we call skin to earn respect and we needed this to be called a universal trend.
