I felt invisible today
How I dance around words and refuse to inch towards my door
How words fall onto my lap, only to be wiped away by my shaking hands

I felt lonely today
How best friends make pinky swears and how all I can keep safe is the gold cross on my neck
I pray to him and ask, God, let me love again

I felt.. Sad;
The kind of sadness that rolls over in bed ever so often
But will never leave
The one that despite my tugging at the feet
Only sinks even deeper into my being

But most of all
I felt nothing
I didn't feel the breeze as I tiptoed my way into being what my Mother calls 'normal'
Or the hot water I envied, how amazing it would be
To simply
Just
Evaporate.

THE TRAGEDY SERIES POEM 2

Painful is the sorrow that comes against Men
Harsh is the heat that poverty brings
Black is the night that comes with anguish
Stray is the bird that has lost its way
Cold is the pain of an abandoned Child
Piercing is the word that comes like a knife
Biting is the agony that eludes peace
Fearful is the thrill that an owl brings
And
Killing is the tragedy that comes with Sickness

I sat down
To write a poem about
The way things used to be

But I can't remember
Much before dinner
So that thought's eluding me

Then I thought
A poem about
The life I'm living now

What came across
Was one big yawn
Perhaps a bit too loud

Then it occurred to me
Maybe the poem should be
Set in the near future

Before I even began
That light grew dim
So that path I didn't venture

Now here I am
With pen and paper in hand
In this conundrum of what to write

Until that time
The poem I find
I'll just kindly say goodnight

Sometimes I just write to write
To help me get through the night
The need to be set free
Like a bird flying over the city
Leaving the world below
Going someplace new to grow
I'm in need of something more
This chance is what I've been waiting for

Sometimes I just write to write
Because these days I don't know what's right
So many things they don't want us to see
They don't want me to be me
I think I'm at an all time low
I don't know which way to go
What is there to live for
Girl help me find more

I see you here and there
You are everywhere
Wherever I go
Your face will show
No matter what I do
I can't stop seeing you

From intangible material;
A pattern of the past,
Present, and future;
A glowing touch
Surreal.

Carven prayer's shalt reach the great one's
Throne, intertwined we'll be, with peace as
Home; worries none more, no skin nor bone
Shalt pass this zone, of angelic habitation.

Star Gazer
I caressed your back with my fingers
As the warm sensation lingers,
I whisper sibilantly into your ear
As you did the same for me to hear.
The shadow touched your shoulders;
And so did I, as I held you closer.
Our heartbeats were like pre-2002 Timberlake;
Rhythmically NSYNC without a mistake,
And skin to skin, I felt your touch searing me;
Though you left your marks, it felt heavenly.
Mesmerised by the sight of you, vulnerable,
I heave in air but yet neither of us culpable.
I whisper once again, 'You are so beautiful'
Everything, became acoustically musical.
We held each other, warmed by linen,
The present was a gift with a rainbow ribbon,
And each moment, closer to passing out;
I learnt of what true beauty is really about.
I stared deep into your soul, through your eyes,
And it felt as though I've come to a euphoric high,
As I found myself lost in complete ecstasy.
I found love within you, the way it was meant to be.

Though the moon met its demise
It was an endless night.
