Blood on the red rusted blade,

Blood on the bed sheet
where we once laid,

Blood on the ornate
porcelain plate

Blood in my throat
along with the
black burning bile
coming back up
my esophagus
and out of my mouth
in slick drips
of ***** and spit,

Blood in my soul
drowning me in
crimson style,

Blood in the hot headlights
blazing in my wrecked retinas,

Blood in the ground
rooted in my hometown,
you will find the blood
everywhere
if you come around here,

Same sick stain
paints my pillow
and my satin sheets,
luckily for me
I bought a red pillow case
so that blood
just blends in,

Blood on my hands

Blood in your veins

Blood in my heart
beating out loudly
driving me insane

Thud, thud, thud,
more blood mixed in the mud.
It never ends.
My spirit rends
itself asunder.
I can even feel the blood
in the coming thunder

Blood, blood, blood, blood.

pri
your name on my lips,
a whisper in the night
-ten thousand enunciations,
do you even know my name?
what’s my name?

they fall like rain
white and pink and red and blue,
fluttering wings, little butterflies
you call them pretty,
as they cascade to the floor,
little whirlwinds,
tiny storms.

roses, roses,
they all fall down,
pick up my petals
i’ll be ashes in the ground.

in my dreams,
you twirl me around,
soft hands in my hair,
eyes on mine,
golden mornings and moonlit nights.

each morning, morning i wake in your arms,
every night we’re under the garden’s bridges,
a soft waltz,
for softer caresses,
and yet the petals fall all around.

roses, roses,
they all fall down,
pick up my petals
i’ll be ashes in the ground.

i don’t dream anymore,
all my days i lay in the sunlight
-dreams of mornings fill my head,
as i grasp rose petals,
strewn like dreams all around.

summer turns to winter,
spring won’t come for me,
the last spring i’ll ever know,
there are rose petals on top of me and i’m six feet below.

roses, roses,
they all fell down,
you didn’t pick up my petals
so now i’m ashes in the ground.

Its been a long time
since I was rolling through
stopping by just to visit you.

It’s not a long drive
but the memory
of all we loved
and all we lost
isn't something that
I long to see.
Its more like a serious specter
staring down on me
while I'm checking out
our sad shared history.

So, when I don't stop
don't think that I
never gave a ****
or that I didn't love
all the time we shared
and all the stuff we did.

I'm just trying to move on
beyond the smiles and laughter,
beyond the time when
the grim reaper
chased after and captured
your frail form.

I love you
but your already long gone
so, I'm moving on.

Oh, how it makes me smile.
How my mouth widens
like little tropical islands
spread on for miles
in continental drift.
How with one quip
I find my wit
the perfect fit
for the intelligent
philosophers and artists.
It is the heart of solace
so, please know this
your unique presence
makes me very happy.

The sound of stranger’s
laughing and talking
while they are walking
cannot compete

with the rough sound
of the rusty train
rolling in the distance,
cause it disintegrates
all other noises
that life makes.

The white grey clouds
that chase the days away
at a dragon’s pace
cannot contend with

the heavy
acid laced
horrors
that threaten
to overrun the heavens.

The brown tree’s
multi-colored leaves
with its’ long trunk,
and the white blooms
that flourish
under the moon’s
same colored glory,

will not thrive
or even survive
life in the cracks
of this concrete city.

to see my soul

you ever done.
you were never
deserving of it.

It is hard to explain
how the flower
was once the rain,
sunshine, and wet dirt
that stretches
across the earth.

How particles
that traveled
across vast distances
in space,
and sparse water droplets
along with nutrients
from the ground,
are utilized to create
the colors we see,
how they take what we exhale
and give us what we need
to breathe.

But it is so easy to see
the petals
or leaves
of varying colors
and the stems.

It is hard to imagine
the pollen
the tricks the bees
into pollinating
other plants.

But it easy
to understand
that to maintain
this land
we must be stewards
who care deeply
about the beauty
all around us,
instead of becoming
nature’s enemy
that destroys
all life in our
general vicinity.

are the sins i hide
my sins
i’ll engrave in your skin

This fragile heart
sometimes bursts into
the tiniest shards
                  of infinity
clear as crystal light
yet empty
as an ocean, waterless
longing
to be filled and filled
over and over
as I would fill you
to the brim
overflowing with
enough life
and love to heal
a thousand
                aching moons

evie marie
she awoke
like an aubade-
a song greeting the dawn.
her eyes blinked the morning dew away;
the sleep dissipating like fog rolling over hills and out of sight.
her body was full of stories,
of dreams-
she sang wordless lullabies in
amaranth and ivory.
it hurt her, i think,
to craft worlds from impetuous grins and
the lazy dip of cherry blossoms in spring.
her veins hurt from the
strain of harsh lights and panic attacks in public bathrooms,
her veins hurt from the monotony of school
and the dull, numb throbbing of a
barely there headache.
She would come home,
after a particularly long day
and stare at herself,
not recognizing who stared back.
sea foam on her lips and
glitter shimmering upon her cheeks,
she broke the world apart with her bare hands
and climbed inside.
