In the depths of my heart, a longing resides,
A yearning for you, where love abides.
Across the miles, I feel your embrace,
A bond that time and distance cannot erase.

Where are you, where do you dwell?
In my dreams, I hear your voice so well.
I search for you in every passing face,
Hoping to find you in this vast space.

Memories linger, like whispers in the breeze,
Your laughter, your touch, like melodies.
In the silence of night, I hear your call,
A beacon of hope, guiding me through all.

Across the oceans, across the skies,
Our hearts connected, no matter where we lie.
In the tapestry of life, our threads entwined,
A love that transcends, forever enshrined.

Where are you,  where do you dwell?
In my dreams, I hear your voice so well.
I search for you in every passing face,
Hoping to find you in this vast space.

Dance while you still can
Let the music whisk you in the air
Let your arms be wings
Fly, sway and swing
Dance without a care

Dance while you still can
Do the shimmy, be your own star
Feel the rhythm and the beat
Let the notes tickle your feet
Spin like Mars, forever stellar

Dance while you still can
Beat the blues and the grays
On your own or hold a hand
Dance while you still can
Dance while the music still plays

In the soft tinkling of the piano
I hear the gentle peace
of the meadow
and feel the breeze
tickling the hair on my arms.
In the coffee the rich warmth
and wisdom of my muse
trickles down my throat.
The noise of the day
switches off
reshaped into the fullness
and unbridled breadth
and splendor
of the universe.
Lately I have been somewhat bewildered by the onset of serenity, Somehow the aches in my joints and my frustrations with missing names in my brain have eased. It's nice. And welcome.

The mind allows;
The never ending Universe
to enter its finite portals.

The grey matter folded
within its castle of bone.
Imagination the gift;

and a song to make
from star patterns;
laid down in eternity.

The radius of my love for you,
Like autumn leaves in hues so true,
Spreads wide and far, from heart to mind,
A malady of sweetest kind.

A cure I seek, but none is found,
My love for you knows no bound.
My heart beats fast, my breath grows deep,
When I am near, my love, I weep.

Oh, calm me down with some sedative,
Lest I become love's captive.
For thoughts of you consume my mind,
And leave no other thought behind.

But though my love may drive me mad,
I'd have it not, I'd not be glad,
To lose the feeling, sweet and pure,
That makes my heart for you endure.

So let me be, my love, my dear,
And let my love for you appear,
In every word and every deed,
A love that's sown and never freed
Melodies
of fluid nature.
Rainfall’s
pacifying calls.
Peaceful humming
of forest rapids.
Mountain’s waterfalls
echoing on and on
Nature’s streaming song.

A canary flew
in my
window and sat at
my desk with
me.
It said,
who are you?
I replied,
I'm a base
poet that's been
dropped on
his head by life
a few times.
Eyes like a
kicked dog, and a
beard that doesn't
grow straight.

It chirped like
a Bach concerto, and
said,
ah yes, we are
all just dead
birds at the
bottom of a cage, tiny
lice crawling through
our eyes.
No song.
No light.

I said,
you're a strange
little fellow.
And we sat there,
like that, waiting
for 6:00 am
so, I could make
a beer run.

Sailing the mystic omnipresent seas,
on a craft made of dragonfly's wings.
Tacking across the magical breeze,
caused by songs that the sirens sing.

Weathered and worn by infinite tides,
holding lines made of eternal foible.
The warrior's blade like a rudder she rides,
in a sheath made of filigreed sable.

Virulent flow of futurity's pandemic,
vibrant waters fertile subtle surreal.
Ephemeral beings translucent endemic,
purveys omnipresent augur's appeal.

The starlit sky imbues waterfall's mist,
myriad creatures seek eternity's mantra.
Vivid delineations of artistry's gist,
seeking virile omnipotent yantra.

Celestial heights where eagles traverse,
soaring and gliding we learn to fly.
Must life be terminal we say of terse,
whilst composing music to make angels sigh.
