If friendship was a flower
Pretty and full of colours
I'd be colorblind
For a while I'd lose sight

If friendship was a song
Pitched with highs and lows
I'd only hear the lows
Filled with sorrow and flaws

If friendship - i could touch
Tender warm and soft
I'd never want to brush
There's a fear that keeps me locked

If friendship was a smell
Floral and fresh
My breath - I'd hold
Cuz I'd rather choke

It's the worst of all loves
Strongest of all bonds
Paints a black stain
Leaving eternal pain
(my idea of friendship cuz I'm heartbroken at the moment 🙂)
Truth bends to the eye that sees it.
Some truths stand fixed like stars in the sky,
But many shimmer like reflections in water-
Shifting with the angle ,
dancing with the light

Srishti
Simultaneously,
a drop of
time fell
on a
barren land.
goes on… goes on…
created a
pond.
goes on… goes on…
created a
lake.
goes on… goes on…
created
half a sea.
goes on… goes on…
created
an ocean.
goes on… goes on…
created a
planet.
goes on… goes on…
created a
galaxy.
goes on… goes on…
created
millions of galaxies.
goes on… goes on…
created a
universe.
goes on… goes on…
created uncountable
universes…
goes on… goes on…
And still,
it goes on…
time and universes will never end
How successful you are does not
matter,
But how important and worthy you were to others.

the moon has died in a poem
overused and forlorn
its avatar is rising
in blazig pixels and scorn

we are at this threshold
one foot in the moon
the subtelty of dying will be
presented on Zoom

Godot isn't coming but
I am waiting too
i don't know how old i was, 8 or 10.

I climbed out the window
onto the roof of the garage.

it was summer.

I lied down
and gazed at the stars for hours.

i reached to touch moonbeams,
and with my finger
drew a circle around the north star.

i dissolved into the hush of stars
free of want or need.

a single heart beat.
I, the wind, moon, stars.

I long to lie on the roof, again,
gaze at the stars
and filled with wonder.

Stardust
After every flower,
There's someone tending to it with care.
Through every storm and season's test,
Ensuring it survives,
And someday, blooms its best.
Or simply keeps on blooming,
Until there are no seasons
And no more storms to test.
This poem is for my dear mother.
